Continue ReadingHigh Major programs tracked all of Jessica’s games, especially Memphis. Fields controlled the paint with her rebounding and shot blocking. Jessica scored whenever she got post position. She has terrific hands, able to catch lobs and finish through contact. Jessica hit mid-range jumpers to open up the floor.
Another top notch 2025 post, Butler blends physicality with effort. She is a workhorse under the basket, securing rebounds and powering up for buckets. JaKerra rebounds out of area and alters shots inside. Her stock continues to climb.
Highlights
McCammon is still learning how to use her body, but her size is eye popping. She is a mountain down low, that cannot be moved. Keeping the ball high is an area of focus for her. If she is able to protect the ball from smaller opponents and get on the glass, Chassity can be tough to stop. She has nimble feet for her size. The best of McCammon is yet to come.
Highlights
D-I schools were interested to watch Amilya this week, tracking her progress as one of the largest players in the 2025 class. Taft was a load to handle when she set up shop on the block. She played with balance and poise when double teams surrounded her. Amilya effectively scored inside.
Highlights
Eve is a strong low post presence that can score with her back to the basket. She has a variety of moves to turn to, using drop steps, up-and-unders and hook shots to score. Knight finishes with both hands. She provides size and toughness inside for a guard-oriented Jefferson team.
Offers should start trickling in for AK. At 6-foot-1, there is a lot to like about Shelton’s game. She is a great shot blocker that both protects the rim and guards on the perimeter. Speaking of perimeter, the lefty can step outside to shoot the three. In the paint, Akilah is a threat to score on putbacks and likes to dive across the lane to get to her left.
Sequoyah did a nice job getting Milanni downhill coming off curls. She would catch with momentum heading toward the basket and convert at the rim. Abdus-Salaam also cashed in on a few threes and showed versatility as a defender.
Highlights
Taylor posted 12 points in a win over St. Francis and did a great job controlling the paint. She scored through contact, rebounded and altered shots on defense. McKayla has one of the top college-ready frames in the state.
