Continue ReadingI have watched many of these young ladies grow, both on and off the court, and take their games to new levels. After successful showings at NCAA Certified events, they attended for exposure and they got it as many have numerous offers on the table while the others have received interest from college coaches yet more to come from this talented group
Abby Seitz Abby Seitz 5'9" | CG Vista Ridge | 2025 State TX -5’9
Seitz is one of the toughest players in Texas period and watching her take charges as well as hard licks attacking the basket has become common for me. She fills up the stat sheet as she can rebound, on both ends, see the floor in the set as well in transition and her threading the needle with blistering passes is always a treat. So is her jumper which she drops from mid to long-range yet her body control on her finishes makes her an and one waiting to happen. Oh yeah, she wants and delivers in the clutch
Somo Okolo-6’1
Okolo is “long and athletic” and over “the magic number” and with double-digit D1 offers on the table, she is set yet she’s still setting it off. I love watching her play the passing lane yet her handling of the ball afterward has shot up, and so has her going coast to coast after rebounding. Watching her swat away shots with ease has always been there, and so has her scoring around the basket but her attacking from the wing adds more, and so does her step back on the pull-up jumper
Katie “KP” Peiffer Katie “KP” Peiffer 5'11" | SG Round Rock | 2025 State TX -5’11
Peiffer started off the club season on a tear and her tearing it up from BTA at close to 50% raised many eyebrows. The first time I saw her I was speechless about how well she shot the ball, she understands how to create her shot under pressure and get it off whenever she wants yet dropping it while being defended is always good, especially when you can mix it up and attack the basket off the dribble. Nice body control on her finishes, yes after contact
Nevaeh Jones Nevaeh Jones 6'2" | C Manor | 2025 State TX -6’2
Jones impressed me as a 7th grader and I wrote her “upside was intriguing” as she was performing well playing against high school ballers. Fast forward to now, her ability to control the paint, on both ends is going to create some issues because she not only rebounds on both ends, she runs the floor on both ends. Her powerful frame enables her to score with players hanging on her, the hands and footwork are #THROWBACK and she showed the turnaround jumper
Addison Borchardt-5’5
Borchardt is a heady point guard that can also play the 2 and watching her create her shot under pressure has always been nice yet she’s added the “step back” and it’s pretty effective as she creates space to drop the mid-to long-range. Her ballhandling and seeing the floor under pressure stands out, she throws the alley-oop ala “no-look” and she can attack off the dribble using a deceptive first step, with either hand. She also plays solid defense “on the ball”
Abigail Williams Abigail Williams 6'2" | C Vista Ridge | 2025 State TX -6’2
Williams has added to her game in a variety of ways and her stepping outside to drop the midrange had me smiling. Yes, she has the college-ready frame and scored around the basket, after contact, but her “hands and footwork have improved. She rebounds, on both ends, and she runs the floor, on both ends but her interior defense has improved, well so has her defending outside the paint yet one of the biggest thrills for me to see was her attacking from the wing, and finishing
Cadence Willaims-6’0
Williams was more than a pleasant surprise because she’s “long and athletic” please remember that will always be the base and she immediately grabbed my attention with her “timing” as she blocked shots and handle the ball in the open court afterward. She also played the passing lane and saw the floor in transition. She battled for rebounds, and she scored on putbacks as well as around the basket yet watching her slice by defenders from the wing and finish after contact was nice, and so was her turnaround jumper
Kianna Wormly Kianna Wormly 5'9" | SF Vista Ridge | 2025 State TX -5’11
Wormly has elevated her game as she elevates off the ground, both for rebounds as well as the jumper. Watching her “snag” the ball with one hand and go “coast to coast” and finish was enough but she plays the passing lane and applies on the ball defense baseline to baseline but her first step gives her options as she blows by the defender to finish acrobatically after contact. She also showed the step-back and since she elevates, that works with her jumper, from mid to long range
