Kids now have a special opportunity to show how they play with their teammates on the high school level instead of always having that other 4 or 5 star players on the floor for you that makes the game a little easier to navigate. Section 7 will be good for the game and college coaches will see some kids that they would normally not see, cause those kids do not play on nationally ranked teams in club season.
Players That Played Well this Weekend:
2024, 6’1, PF, Kennedy Smith Kennedy Smith 6'0" | PF Etiwanda | 2024 State CA – Kennedy is one of the toughest kids I have seen in this class and she proves that she is a player and worthy of all the accolades she has received and will receive as a player. She can score from all three levels and is one of the most consistent players on her team and in the class. She will do great things on the next level and those who did not believe in her, she was a prize and you better believe it. Killer in my opinion.
2024, 5’7, CG, Kailee Briggs Kailee Briggs 5'7" | SG Ontario Christian | 2024 State CA – the little sister of Chloe showed us she can play this game to and knocked down some shots from the perimeter and got to the basket for easy scores. We enjoyed this tournament and will return next year.
2024, 5’1. PG, Jada Taylor Jada Taylor 5'1" | PG Etiwanda | 2024 State CA – is a firecracker on the floor, she showed us she could run the team and also shoot that ball, she knocked down a couple of jumpers with a nice stroke on her shot.
2024, 5’6, PG, Leah Nelson Leah Nelson 5'5" | PG Grant | 2024 State CA – Leah is a dynamic point guard that knows how to play the game and is always making plays with the ball whether it be on offense or defense. She can score the ball with consistency and she is one of the better ball handlers in this class. She is a dynamo at her size, any coach should be interested in recruiting this kid.
