Pernell had to sit last year due to transfer rules, but this year she will probably be one of the biggest roster additions in the state. Pernell is a smooth wing player that can be very dangerous filling a lane in transition. She can play off contact staying lower than the defense.
Miller was one of the best in the state last year, and unfortunately for the competition, she keeps getting better. Miller has always been an elite shooter, but over the last year has refined her ball skills to high lead guard level. Not to mention, Miller has always been an excellent decision maker.
Highlights
Blumberg had an outstanding sophomore season with a really good Dexter team. With star Chloe Perry graduating, there’s some ball handling and scoring that will need to be replaced. Blumberg is more than ready. She’s able to put the ball on the floor and make plays. Blumberg is a high IQ player that’s very effective attacking a zone defense.
Hitt had one of the best freshman seasons in the state. If she continues her development, I can see her being an elite scorer in Michigan. Hitt is a true 3 level scorer that can attack wherever and whatever a defender leaves open. Step off her and she buries a triple. Play up on her and she puts the ball on the floor and the defender on her hip.
Robal is a high level prospect that has a lot of next level tools. It’s very impressive that she can comfortably attack going with the right and the left. Not only can she get to the rim with either hand, but she can also finish with both hands and on either side of the rim. Robak is a prospect that a lot of people and coaches will want to see.
Swanson is committed to Butler and it’s easy to see why Bulldogs fans will love her. With her understanding of positioning, she’s been one of the best rebounders in the state since she walked through a high school door. Swanson is a double-double machine that can limit opponents possessions with her dominance on the glass.
Stemmer is that savvy veteran that every coach wants on their roster. That being said, she’s kind of played that way throughout her high school career. Stemmer is a high IQ player that recognizes good shots and turns them into points. She’s one of the better 2 way guards around as well.
Zajac is a superstar talent, yet maintains her team first demeanor. She puts the team ahead of individual stats. Trust me when I say that college coaches and programs are noticing (and really liking) her skill set AND her leadership abilities. Zajac is a versatile forward that can score from anywhere on the floor.
