It has featured plenty of athletes for college coaches and scouts to have on their radar. Week 3 again featured very high level play. Let’s look at some stand outs from the games.
Allison O’Dowd
Allison O’Dowd
O’Dowd looked like a player to put on radars in week 3. She showed off a nice jumper with plenty of range, knocking down multiple 3’s. O’Dowd showed that she can be a multi level threat as well by attacking the rim, especially in transition. She was a 2 way player showing off quick hands on the defensive end.
Mitchell is one of the more improved players that I saw in the spring and that was evident at the East Jackson Summer League. She showed off solid athleticism and ease of movement which can go a long way at the next level. Mitchell has really become a playmaker off the ball that can run the floor.
Julia Reynolds
Julia Reynolds
Reynolds should be put on some radars by college coaches according to her game in week 3 of the East Jackson Summer League. She was a solid 2 way lead guard that let her game start on the defensive end. Reynolds was tough with good defensive feet. She was super steady on the offensive end.
Emma Jones
Emma Jones
It looks like Jones will be a player to watch this coming high school season. She could be a big difference maker in the backcourt. Jones is a playmaker with a really good offensive mindset. She can hit her jumper as well and has the look of a sharpshooter with very deep range.
Mericle showed a skill set that could transfer to the next level nicely. Every coach wants and needs a guard that can defend at a high level and that’s what she is. Mericle showed that she can attack the rim and pressure the defense off the bounce and her jumper looks better than ever. Mericle is showing that she can knock down triples at a high rate.
