I know might snicker and say “he says all the time” yet no matter how many times I say things, many don’t and will never get it but get this, I saw some players that I hadn’t seen or seen a lot of go off and here ya go
Sincere Jackson 5’9 SF ( SA Hoops Elite JK) 2024
Jackson does so many things that I enjoy seeing which is why I drop the #THRO WBA CK hashtag. When a player does things that can’t be taught, like DESIRE, I smile and enter the PORTAL of yesteryear. You won’t outwork her and she BATTLES for everything off the rim yet she also goes after loose balls, in the air, and on the flow. She finished strongly around the rim, putbacks included, and she attacked the basket while finishing after contact
Chloe Eversole-5’10 PG (2024 SYA Gifted 17U)
Eversole showed she could run a team as well as control the tempi yet her court vision in the set as well as in transition was nice. She’s a long and athletic guard, that too is the base, and her defensive pressure baseline to baseline was nice, as was her playing the passing lane and attacking the basket afterward. She created her shot to go by the defender to score yet she also dropped the jumper, “catch and shoot” included
Charrava Smith-6’0 G (Terrell Lightning) 2024
Smith falls into the “non-erroneous” roster category as she left me speechless at Prime Time National a couple of seasons ago. Someone told me she was a senior, but someone was clearly wrong as she’s “long and athletic” plays the passing lane as well as smothering defense yet se elevates over the defenders around the rim to score, well does it with her jumper, mid to long-range as well. She has good timing to block shots and rebounds on both ends
Krislyn Biscette Krislyn Biscette 5'7" | SG Shadow Creek | 2024 State TX -5’6 G (TSF 17U Black) 2024
Biscette gave me my own “two-minute warning” as she dropped jumpers mid to long-range and scored off the dribble, nice body control helped her finish after the lick. She also handled the ball under pressure and her court vision was a huge plus as she got her teammate’s good looks to score. Her defense was solid, baseline to baseline helped cause turnovers, so did her quick hands
Avery Carter-6’1 PF/C (2024 Hoop 10 United Nike)
Carter is a huge pickup as she stands above the magic number but her being “long and athletic” to go along with her height will have her on many college coaches’ shortlists because she can also play. Her “hands and footwork” around the basket immediately grabbed my attention but so did her going after the ball off the rim, on both ends. Her timing was nice in blocking shots and she attacked strongly from the wing to finish
Destiny Alexander-5’8 SF (Lady AE Black-Amerisports) 2024
Alexander was another player that showed the “hands and footwork” yet she mixed in a drop step as well as a spin mover inside the paint to score. Her turnaround jumper, with a hand in her face, was nice, she also scored off the dribble after contact. Her interior defense was solid. so was her rebounding
Alexis Norman -5’7 SG (2024 Hoop 10 Elite) 2025
Norman stepped up in the clutch, in fact, she wanted the ball and pressure was irrelevant. She even dropped a 3 at the buzzer yet watching her create her shot while being defended, her deceptive first step enabled her to attack and score or dish off the dribble yet her shooting, especially her ability to “catch and shoot” was more than solid
