The National Championship wrapped up the second evaluation period in July in Orlando and several Florida teams were crowned champions including Miami Suns South 16U who took home the 2025 Cyan Platinum Championship.
Sydney Wilson Sydney Wilson 4'11" | SG Miami Senior HS | 2025 State FL – 5’4 Point Guard – Class of 2025
Wilson stood out for her steady play. She is bigger and stronger than the last time I saw her play. She is a point guard that does a good job playing under control. Has solid handle and changes speed and direction well. She stays low to the ground, gets into the paint by using her combo moves to go by her defender in 1v1 situations and is always looking to find the open player.
Jamir Cool – 6’0 Forward – Class of 2025
Cool was the team’s best prospect. She is a long, athletic, versatile forward who played post post positions. She has a live, bouncy body and is very active and does a good job pursuing and chasing down balls. She rebounds balls out of area. She plays with good energy and has a very positive attitude encouraging her teammates to play hard and aggressive. She has a big vertical with quick hops getting off the ground quickly to get in the air to go get rebounds on both offensive and defensive end of floor.
Kayla Smith Kayla Smith 5'9" | SF American Heritage (Plantation) | 2026 State FL – 5’9 Guard / Wing – Class of 2026
Smith was one of the youngest players on the court. She is a versatile guard that can score off the dribble and from the perimeter. She uses her wingspan and size well. Her length is very impactful as a defender and she is hard to go by when she is in a defensive stance and she gets her hands on a lot of balls both in deflection situations and in rebounding situations.
Jaelyn Cardoza Jaelyn Cardoza 5'0" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State FL – 5’3 Guard – Class of 2025
Cardoza is a quick, explosive, aggressive, competitive guard. She plays hard on both ends and does not take plays off. She is a very willing defender who applies good ball pressure and is willing to pick up opposing point guards from baseline to baseline.
