Madison Sepeda Madison Sepeda 5'2" | PG Greeley Central | 2025 State CO – Greeley Central
Sepeda is a capable complementary scoring threat, possessing quick instincts versus opposing defenses. The guard has a dependable handle going either direction, proving effective at maneuvering around defenders for downhill scoring opportunities. Sepeda’s driving volume is impacted by her excellent footwork, allowing her greater opportunities to get off shot attempts around contests. The incoming junior is a patient facilitator, comfortable setting up the offense without rushing passing options. Her growth in shooting consistency along the perimeter will be intriguing, given her value scoring downhill.
Kaila Patterson Kaila Patterson SG Longmont | 2025 State CO – Longmont
Patterson has shown value as a shotmaker along the perimeter, typically getting to her attempts off the catch. The guard is a threat out to the three point line, taking the bulk of her shot attempts from that distance. She has shown capabilities using her pump fake to freeze opponents, before stepping into mid-range pull-up jumpers or making the extra pass if help comes from the corners. Patterson’s progression as a ball handler will be intriguing, providing notable gravity from her jumper.
Avery Freedman Avery Freedman 5'6" | CG Green Mountain | 2025 State CO – Green Mountain
Freedman is an active cutter, playing off of the defense to create efficient shot attempts. The guard is a versatile asset for Green Mountain, providing winning value in a variety of areas on the floor. First and foremost, Freedman is active off of the ball, waiting for ball watching defenders before she initiates a backdoor cut. With multiple smart passers on this group, Freedman is oftentimes rewarded for her movement with layup attempts. She is equally active as a rebounder, roaming around to maximize her position. Despite playing in a backcourt centric program, Freedman is often tasked with guarding up against opposing forwards, doing her part to stay strong up against the post. Continuing to build upon her shooting consistency will be important for the guard, given how often she finds scoring opportunities around the rim, that potential gravity could open up the floor for her.
Olivia Mortensen Olivia Mortensen 5'9" | SG Legacy | 2025 State CO – Legacy
Mortensen brings a diverse skill set at roughly 5’9 a capable scorer inside and out while bringing notable consistency hustling for loose balls. The incoming junior is a physical finisher in the paint, capable of attacking downhill with either hand. She shows the ability to finish through contact with either hand, rarely pushed around by opponents. Mortensen brings excellent instincts on the glass, staying physical yet consistently mobile while crashing the glass. She is equally threatening without the ball, dangerous as a screen and roller. Mortensen does well setting hard screens, awaiting the ball handler to pass before rolling, capable of either stepping into the mid-range jumper or taking it all the way in a dribble. With increased shot volume along the perimeter, there is little defenses will be able to do to slow down the guard, who put up over 17 points and 12 rebounds per game last season.
