- Missouri Flight 2024
The Missouri Flight 2024 team was one of the best overall groups I saw compete this weekend, throughout all age levels. Their starting 5 really play as a team, while their bench players come in and take care of business. When I had the chance to watch them, they basically ran two separate groups throughout their contests. They did a great job this weekend really dismantling the teams that they were matchups up against. The two contests I saw myself, they won both games by 40+ points and it was never close. This was a strong group, that ended their year even stronger.
- Yanders Law 16U
I only had a small amount of time to watch the Yanders Law 16U team compete but from what I saw, they were in the conversation for one of the best teams there. They have a roster of long and athletic guards, backed up by tall forwards in the middle in the floor to help protect the paint. Not to mention that their post players are coordinated, have fantastic footwork, and can score on all three levels. This squad finished 4-0 on the weekend in Chicago and made a lasting impression on a lot of people because of their team-play. This fall they will all individually work off of this momentum and put together successful high school seasons. They just need to go out, take care of business per usual and they will be alright.
- Illinois Dream 2024
The Illinois Dream had a solid weekend as a program at PGH 2K23. They may of not of won a ton of games but they held their own and showed off that they have some college level talent across all age groups. Each group has a few key players that stand out, followed by a group of athletes and role players that will all be making a name for themselves this upcoming high school season. I’m looking forward to seeing how their games translate to the high school floor but from what I’ve seen, they all have some bright futures ahead.
- NWI Select 2024
NWI Select has talented players on each roster, that stood out in their own way this past weekend. The most prominent group being the 2024 team that I saw compete. This group has a bunch of different weapons on offense, while being stout defenders at any position. They work off of each other effortlessly and make things happen, out of nowhere, on a consistent basis. When you have a team in which every player, plays for each other. You then have a group that can push one another to new heights, as it pertains to their individual abilities on the floor. They really are fun to watch. This program is one to know moving forward, for myself in the future.
