Continue ReadingThe last tournament of the year is always a up and down emotion. 2024s are playing in their last ever AAU event. Some leave it all out of there and some are we ready for their senior year to start. Regardless, players are competing and this years #PGH2K23 live event was no different. Below are my standouts from the final day of our final event.
- ‘24 Jessica Aldenderfer | Mavericks Basketball – Missouri | Jessica just stems to find ways to get to the ball. She has a long frame and contiounsly runs the floor. She dives for loose balls, goes for every board within her reach and fights to the whistle is blown on tangle ups. Tough nosed type of player.
- ‘24 Hailey Testolin Hailey Testolin 5'11" | SG McFarland | 2024 WI | United Hoops – Wisconsin | Testolin easily etched her name in the conversation as one of the purest shooters for this weekend, even in a off game.. they were fluid when she lets it go, and on the drive she’s aggressive and knows how to use her length to finish in a variety of ways. Has a solid eye when she’s in the facilitating role as well.
- ‘24 Ellison Mehrhoff | Missouri Flight | Ellison is built to play 3-5, she has the versatility to be effective offensively at all spots, and the size to cause problems on the opposite side of the ball. Multiple times throughout the day she showcased her ability to finish at around the rim.. despite all the contact she had to deal with.
- ‘25 Calli Grosinike | United Hoops – Wisconsin | Grosinske plays the game with tons of force but with a IQ to match it. She rarely makes mistakes with the ball, but keeps a the head up if a couple happen. She’s aggressive on the drive, finds great angles to attack the paint, and can let it fly front the arc as well. Great potential.
- ‘24 Lilly Dockemeyer Lilly Dockemeyer 5'11" | SF Lincoln Way-East | 2024 IL | Illinois Dream | Watching players develop their game or even just confidence is always a sight to see. Lilly seems to be tapping into her confidence, cause it was all on show this afternoon. Aggressive drives to the rim, no hesitation on open shots and she continues to be the player that throws off offenses with her constant movement.
