Always remember I have #NoAgenda whatsoever and be sure to observe who is writing the article because I copy no one, never have, never will and my philosophy on doing things the right way worked out since I have a daughter that has played in the WNBA for multiple seasons yet that’s not the main thing that separates me from much of this nonsense being put out, I know what I’m looking at and please remember #ThereIsNoMe
Here are the 2024 players that JUST DID IT for me on the court
Joemoriah Ben Joemoriah Ben 5'6" | PG Houston Sterling | 2024 State TX
Ben solidified herself as one of the top guards in Texas over the past season and one thing I have always loved about her game is she falls into that “never takes a play off” type of player, which also falls under that “things you can;t teach” category I talk about frequently. Her explosiveness off the dribble was in full affect on yesterday as she attacked the basket relentlessly both in the skills as well as the 5 on 5 games. Her body control and acrobatic finishes, with either hand, are going to translate over to the next level, so is her midrange jumper. She applies pressure, “on the ball” baseline to baseline, and uses her quick hands to come away with steals yet her handling the ball and seeing the floor in transition also stood out
Cassidy Rodriguez Cassidy Rodriguez 5'4" | PG Clear Falls | 2024 TX
Rodriguez handled the ball under pressure with ease and her variety of moves, including going behind her back at full speed was very nice but so was her splitting defenders using either hand. She also attacked the basket from multiple angles, using either hand and finished strongly after contact using not only good body control but one more time, either hand. Her court vision was nice in transition, she saw the floor in the set and hit teammates while attacking the basket. She also created her shot under pressure and dropped the jumper
Addisyn Parker Addisyn Parker 5'6" | CG La Porte | 2024 State TX
Parker is coming off a breakout club season which will have her added to the Top 100 plus yet she gave me so many pluses to look at yesterday that I just smiled at her progression. She’s one of those players that could always play yet her adding the step back for 3 is a game changer. She creates her shot under pressure with ease and watching her knock the mid to long-rnage down with a hand in her face had me smiling yet that smile got brighter as she showed the HEZ to leave the defender standing, both in the set as well as in the open court. Her body control on her finishes was nice, she also did one of the things I love to see and that’s playing the passing lane
