Angelei Abeyta – Skyview
Abeyta brought value as an off-ball scoring threat alongside impressive passing reads when asked to handle the rock. The guard showcased confidence making bounce passes in the halfcourt to backdoor cutters.
Madison Kage – Roosevelt
Kage impacted the game through her offensive rebounding and willingness to be gritty on either end of the floor.
Sophia Marrujo Sophia Marrujo 5'4" | PG Skyview | 2027 CO – Skyview
Marrujo did well hustling however possible, having no trouble at being physical with taller opponents. Another aspect of Marrujo’s game was her shot making ability along the perimeter, stepping into quite a few three point attempts on the weekend.
Arielle Boyd Arielle Boyd 5'5" | PG Cherry Creek | 2027 State CO – Cherry Creek
Boyd was among the best perimeter defenders at this event, proving incredibly quick alongside great processing speeds necessary to capitalize on steals. In two separate games, Boyd notched 4 steals before the second half had started, a testament to her IQ and mobility. Boyd did especially well pushing the pace in transition, getting to layups or near full court outlet passes when available.
Addison Moon Addison Moon 5'8" | CG Highlands Ranch | 2027 State CO – Highlands Ranch
Moon did well knocking down shots off the catch or while flowing into her dangerous pull-up jumper. The guard did especially well knocking down jumpers under a variety of circumstances, proving incredibly dangerous while stepping into the mid-range. Although an excellent shooter, Moon brings so much more than just scoring with the jumper. She is an adept ball handler, capable of reading the floor to attack driving lanes, even finishing through aggressive contests at the rim.
Cate Wetterling Cate Wetterling 5'9" | SG Valor Christian | 2027 State CO – Valor Christian
Wetterling was an impactful perimeter threat, doing well as a help defender while providing consistent with her shot attempts. The guard proved capable of knocking down jump shots, effective off the catch or when stepping into such attempts. Defensively, Wetterling and assertive decision making
Alexis Arakaki – Horizon
Arakaki was automatic off the catch, proving to be one of the more consistent off-ball shooters from this event. The guard proved to be effective from the corners and wings, ready and willing to step into shots at all times.
Cecilia Brinton – Denver East
Brinton was effective through her assertive help side defense and willingness to hustle for rebounds on either end of the floor.
Sophie Husk Sophie Husk 5'10" | SF Erie | 2027 State CO – Erie
Husk was among the leading shot blockers from this event, grabbing 4 blocks in her second game yesterday morning. At roughly 5’10, the guard has excellent size and IQ, doing well to be a pull-up shooter and facilitator. More to come on this guard down the line.
Kaze Dumas – Highlands Ranch
Dumas was active attacking downhill, proving effective at scoring with either hand in traffic. Another aspect of Dumas’s impact came from her willingness as a rebounder, constantly roaming around on the glass.
Kennedi Toliver – TBD
Toliver was intriguing through her positional strength and defensive instincts, all while playing up as a 2029. The incoming seventh grader proved capable battling on the defensive end versus opposing forwards, proving consistent at keeping both arms up for contests.
