Players from across the country came to show off their skills learning from coaches in the area and then being able to scrimmage against one another applying what they learned. We were able to see some of the top athletes in the classes of 2027-2032! Let’s start the coverage with some of the standouts from Indiana as this state was certainly well represented at the event.
Bailee Robbins – 5’5” 2028
Robbins did a nice job getting an offensive rebound and using power dribbles to put the shot back up. She constantly slid around the perimeter getting open for the shot, and she got inside with her cuts ready to score by the basket. She had a nice cut baseline getting the pass at midrange level and putting it up through the hoop. She showed her ability to shoot from deep as well.
Riley Suarez – 5’10” 2029
Suarez had a nice stroke from deep putting it up even with someone closing out on her. This was consistent throughout the event her being able to shoot up and over her opponents from around the perimeter. She was getting inside putting back up her shot off an offensive rebound. She had a nice move cutting to the baseline getting the pass, readjusting, and scoring some points in the paint.
Ariana Dasgupta – 5’2” 2029
Dasgupta had a nice steal that she pushed up the court getting an old fashioned three point play after being fouled hard up the court. She did a nice job on the next possession making some cuts drawing defenders to open a lane for her teammate to score some points at the rim.
Addison Blum – 5’7” 2029
Blum seemed to be involved in everything on both ends of the court whether she was making a cut to get the pass and swinging the ball, or she was getting inside on defense to grab the rebound. Her cuts were opening up the court for her teammates, too, as she saw the floor well knowing how to make the best spacing.
Savayah Mitchell – 5’6” 2029
Mitchell had a nice take to the basket seeing an opening and laying it in even through a contested path. She was attacking the basket after full court sprints with the ball consistently getting to the open lane and making sure she showed some fakes to create her own space. She was getting to the basket rolling the ball off her fingertips finishing well on both sides of the rim. She makes exceptional passes even long ones up the court to her cutting teammate. Her range shooting the ball was certainly on display, too.
Lorigrace Rockwood – 5’5” 2029
Rockwood was definitely one of the top rebounders getting inside on both ends crashing the boards coming down with the ball to get the put back or end the possession for her opponents. On offense, she handled the ball well attacking the basket seeing the open lane and taking full advantage. She continued to show how aggressive she can play doing all the fundamentals on both ends of the court.
Briley Morelli – 5’9” 2029
Morelli had a nice shot from deep showing off her range around the perimeter. On defense, she did a nice job jumping in passing lanes and pushing these steals all the way up the court for some solo fast breaks. She was ready to put the ball back up through the hoop scoring two points off offensive rebounds.
