Ariele Warren-5’5, yes they’re twins, as well as Korian Harris-5’5 and although I hadn’t seen them in close to a season, I was pleased with their progression and dropped them on my Super 64-2028 Watch Tip Sheet. I got a better look at their squad that along with several other teams with talented players, open up the Neville Jones Invitational from the 2028 class, here ya go
Alexis Soldier-5’4 PG ( EYG 2027)
Soldier has the right last name because she battled for loose balls and understands how to control the tempo which fits into the concept of running a team. She handles the ball well under pressure, she saw the floor both in the set as well as in transition and she did a good job of scoring off the dribble. Her pull-up jumper was solid, and so is her upside as she also showed “on the ball” pressure
Joely Bell-5’8 G/F ( EYG 2027)
Bell was ringing loud and clear as she gets the #THRO WBA CK for playing bigger than her listed height. She showed nice moves inside the paint, she finished strongly after contact plus she did a good job attacking the basket from the wing. She’s long and athletic, I mention over and over that is the base yet her desire to go after rebounds speaks volumes about what’s coming in her future
Sophia Beltran-5’5 G ( EYG 2027)
Beltran is heady, plays within herself, and understands how to get hers in the flow. Playing up didn’t bother her as she did a good job of not only handling the ball in the open court but making good passes on the break to the right teammate. She attacked the basket using a deceptive first step, she showed the pull-up jumper when needed and her playing the passing lane was something I love to see
Chasia Allen-5’7 G ( Team Lex Tart Heels 2027 JR 3SSB)
Allen plays up on an older squad so her poise under pressure immediately grabbed my attention. She doesn’t get flustered by anything that’s thrown at her and watching her handle the ball in the open court while being defended and making good decisions was a big plus. She’s patient and understands how to set the defender up to attack the basket and her body control helped her finish strongly after contact
Keliah Thomas-Browne-5’7 G/F ( Team Lex Tarheels 2028 JR 3SSB)
Thoma-Browne was another player that I was overly impressed by what she did inside the paint, yeah #THRO WBA CK fits because I love things you can’t teach and her going after everything off the rim as well as the “you won’t outwork me” mindset is a couple of them. She showed she could defend inside as well as apply “on the ball ” pressure baseline to baseline yet she saw the floor and scored off the dribble, with solid body control after contact
Mariyah High-5’11 ( Team Lex Tarheels 2028 JR 3SSB)
High is also long and athletic as well as a shade under “the magic number” so based on what I’m seeing now, she’ll be on many next-level programs shortlists. Her timing is ahead of her years as she blocked, altered, and (or) deflected shots almost effortlessly, and watching her rebound and handle the ball afterward was also big. She also handled the ball after playing the passing lane, she scored around the basket, after contact and her interior defense was also solid
#5 ( Team Lex Tarheels 2028 JR 3SSB)
Long and athletic guard, which also works but her defense baseline to baseline was smothering at times and helped to create turnovers. She also understands how to create her shot under pressure and showed the pull-up was effective as she dropped it with a hand in her face.
#3 ( Team Lex Tarheels 2028 JR 3SSB)
Heady guard that set her teammates up for gimmes yet watching her come from out of nowhere to get steals was nice but her showing she could not only shoot it from mid to long range but “catch and shoot” it had me smiling
#20 ( Team Lex Tarheels 2028 JR 3SSB)
Another athletic guard that brought heat defensively both in the halfcourt as well as in the fullcourt and that pressure is something you can’t teach because she enjoyed doing it over and over
Lily Allen-5’11 PF (TX Platinum 2027 Lane)
Allen is also “long and athletic” and just shy of that magical number of 6’0 I talk about over and over. She attacked the basket and finished after contact, she also showed she could drop the jumper as she elevated over the outstretched arms of defenders. That also worked in the paint as she scored with a hand in her face yet she rebounded, on both ends and did a good job defensively
