Always remember to place yourself in front of someone knowledgeable who has no agenda and right now I’m talking about myself
Here is a link to where I’ll be, I’ve simplified it yet I will still get asked numerous times “Where you at”
The PGH Showcases, Freshman on September 9th, and Top 250 Expo on October 8th will give me a chance to see other aspects of your game, it’s always good to see players in different settings. Please use COLSONPGH2023 for discount
Jocelyn Custard-5’8 SG (Sun City Hype 2026)
Custard showed me multiple things quickly and one of the most impressive things she showed was creating contact while attacking the basket. She set the defender up to take off the dribble yet her body control played a part in the defender committing so this gave her “and one” opportunities. She showed the midrange, and the spin in transition and she played the passing lane, not to leave out good court vision and rebounding
Mia Hairston-5’6 PG (Sun City Hype 2026)
Hairston saw the floor both in the set as well as in transition yet her ballhandling under pressure had a lot to do with that. She made good decisions and watching her hit teammates in traffic was nice, yet so was her scoring off the dribble
Tianna Slade-5’7 G (2024 HG Elite Burton)
Slade is a “long and athletic guard” which is also the base and she’s showing a lot of small things that are going to be big as she progresses on the court. She hit the boards and handled the ball afterward, she saw the floor and she attacked off the dribble yet her playing the passing lane was nice, as well as her defense but she has good timing to go along with all of that
Hadlee Brown-5’5 G ( Team Lex Future) 2027
Brown has a bright future and her playing up tells me a lot about what’s coming. She too is a “long and athletic” guard that has quick hands on defense and she plays the passing lane well. She also saw the floor and made tough passes look easy, she scored off the dribble but watching her not only create her shot under pressure but drop it while being defended was nice
Shaniya Williams-5’5 G (2026 THS 15U)
Williams is strong and attacks the basket STRONGLY yet her body control on her finishes after contact will make her an “and one” waiting to happen over the years. She rebounded over taller players and went coast to coast several times to score or dish yet I have to mention her defensive pressure baseline to baseline because that helped create turnovers
Kaylee Wrenn-5’6 G (2025 CDG-GOD’S Way)
Wrenn threw blistering passes in traffic to teammates for scoring opportunities and she did it in both the halfcourt as well as in the open court yet her first step was really a problem as she left the defender standing as she scored off the dribble. She also showed she could score from outside using the pull-up jumper
Ahnijah Walker-5’5 G (2025 CDG-GOD’S Way)
Walker also showed the pull-up jumper and watching her drop it with a hand in her face was nice, yet so was her attacking the basket to score. Her deceptive first step played a part in that, so did her body control on her finishes, after contact
Sammi Reese-5’5 G (SMA 2024)
Reese used her athleticism on both ends yet her” “on the ball” defense immediately grabbed my attention as she applied pressure baseline to baseline. She also handled the ball under pressure and scored off the dribble, court vision was solid as well
Kennedi Ward-5’7 G (2025 SYA Gifted 16U)
Ward was yet another “long and athletic” guard that stood out for a number of reasons including her defense which was good, in the set as well as baseline to baseline. She also showed she could drop it from outside, mid to long-range and her “catch and shoot” was also nice
Gabriella Burleson-5’8 G (2025 Stat Elite Brittany)
Burleson also showed her athleticism on both ends, first of all, she attacks the basket powerfully and scored after contact yet she also saw the floor off the dribble and made tough passes in traffic. Her pressure defense in the fullcourt was also a plus as she helped create turnovers which led to scoring opportunities
Azariah Fennell-5’7 G (2025 Stat Elite Brittany)
Fennell applied “on the ball” pressure both in the set as well as baseline to baseline and that helped change the momentum several times. She also scored off the dribble, showed good body control, and finished after contact. She did a good job of creating her shot from the outside and dropping it, even showing the “catch and shoot”
Addisyn Simmons-5’5 G (Lee Green Basketball)
Simmons attacked the basket from multiple angles strongly and her finishes after contact was solid, and so was her jumper including the “stop and pop” in transition. She played good defense and this includes “playing the passing lane”
