Some have had multiple sucvcess and still went under the radar, and others have come into their own and looking to have a great impact this 2024 high school season.
Tabitha Betson Tabitha Betson 6'2" | CG DME Academy | 2024 State FL (cover) was one of the top players I saw over the summer. She has great height, size and can run the point, play in the post, play on the wing, etc. Betson is the entire package and the numerous D1- Major 5 offers confirm it. She was super- impressive and before its said and done, she could come very close to reaching the pinnacle of this ranking class.
Adena Webster Adena Webster 5'7" | CG Archbishop Carroll | 2024 State FL debuts in the 2024 rankings after coming off of a monster Junior campaign. Webster was the number one scorer in 2024 class at 34 points per game. That was second in the State behind Taliah Scott. Webster also grabbed 12.5 rebounds per contest. The rankings would not be complete without Webster on the list and look for a steady rise during this upcoming season.
Emely Rodriguez Emely Rodriguez 6'1" | SF Central Pointe Christian | 2024 State FL debuts in the rankings with a rip and a midrange. Rodriguez and was a standout player in the 2024 class last high school season averaging 26 points and 16 rebounds per game. Rodriguez is athletic, versatile, and straight out baller. During this past AAU season, she was a standout and garnered attention all across the State.
Leanna Pabst Leanna Pabst 5'7" | SF Westport | 2024 State FL enters the rankings on the heal of a successful AAU. She help spearhead her teams’s successful AAU season on the heals of a productive high school season. Pabst is athletic with good speed and plays well on both ends of the court. She can score from behind the arc and also in the painted area. Pabst put together some monster games last year in high school, including a 16 point-11 rebound performance against Dunnellon. Needless to say, she rebounds well from the guard position. Pabst is poised to have a very good solid season.
Kyana Poitier Kyana Poitier 5'11" | PF Palm Beach Gardens | 2024 State FL makes a power move into the 2024 rankings. Poitier is an impressive athlete who rebounds, scores inside, runs the floor, and defends all over the court. She is a force on the inside and doesnt mind mixing it up. Poitier runs the floor well, fills the lanes, and can finish. She tracks the ball well on the rebound, and if she can get her hands on the ball it’s a done deal.
Calise Chisholm Calise Chisholm 5'11" | SF Deltona | 2024 State FL brings a special skill set into the rankings and look for her to make some noise before its all said and done. At 5’11, she can run the point and play the off guard and small forward positions. She does a great job of shooting off the catch with a quick release, and she can also create her own shot. Chisolm is special in the open court and in transition. Its not uncommon for the 5’11 guard-forward to rebound the ball and take it coast to coast. She will be one to watch this upcoming season.
Brianna Karanja Brianna Karanja 6'0" | PF Trenton | 2024 State FL from Trenton, FL is another sleeper to keep your eye on. She enters the 2024 rankings and has a lot of talent and upside. AT 5’11, she runs the floor well, rebounds well, defends in the paint, and can run the floor. She was a standout at the Daytona State high school team camp.
Sydney Kenney Sydney Kenney 5'6" | CG Orange Park | 2024 State FL makes a drive to the paint and finds herself as one of the new additions in the 2024 rankings. Kenney is the epitome of motivated, hard work, and determination and really played well during the spring and summer AAU seasons and during the summer league. Her improvement from her Freshman year to her upcoming Senior season has been remarkable. She has good enough handles to run the point guard position and assist with the press break, and she can also play at the shooting guard position. Kenney shot the ball well on the outside and was efficient behind the arc. She also attacked the rim without fear or hesitation, regardless of the bigs in the middle. Kenney will play a gig role this season in high school play, providing a spark when needed.
