All four of the PGH Kentucky scouts/writers were in the building and we all walked away very impressed by this class. There’s bound to be players mentioned in multiple articles by different scouts, but every player deserves to have something written about them after their showing on Saturday. When I was trying to decide how to break down these articles, I ultimately decided to turn the notes I had for each player at the event into a series of articles. I’m putting them out numerically based on jersey number, so below you will find the notes I had down for #251-256.
Brynlee Eskridge
5’6 | Guard | North Bullitt HS | Louisville Lady Aces
#251 – The lefty showed a lot of potential. Made excellent post entry passes. Recognized angles well. Used pass fakes to make defenders shift. Knocked down some impressive shots with defenders right there showing she doesn’t need much space to get her shot off. Also made good drives to the basket and finished floaters well in the paint.
Elaine Purvis
5’7 | Guard | Montgomery County HS | Rise Up 2026
#252 – Clear she has a true scorer’s mentality, but also is a strong facilitator. Quick release shooter with deep range. Good ball handler who can handle pressure very well. Was getting past defenders at ease and making great drives to the basket. Also noticed when to kick to teammates and did a great job of finding the gaps. Tough defender who doesn’t give up on plays. One of the best playmakers in the gym by far.
5’7 | Guard/Forward | Mercy Academy | Louisville Jaguars
#253 – Loved the way she consistently cheered for teammates. Really did a lot of the little things that sometimes go unnoticed – played very hard, ran the floor, made hustle plays, went after rebounds hard, etc. Showed she can play or guard inside or out.
5’7 | Guard | Southwestern HS | Kentucky Premier 15U EYBL
#254 – Lefty who is very solid on both ends of the court. Very smart player. Deep range on her jumper. Great fakes were consistently effective. Made excellent passes and has great vision. Really good facilitator, but can also score herself. Smart shot selection. Got in on a lot of rebounds and was maybe the best rebounder there from the guard position. Does all of the little things and really makes an even bigger impact than what shows up on the stat sheet at the end of each game.
Kaleigh Potts
5’7 | Guard | Tates Creek | Lexington Crossover
#255 – Lefty made some really strong drive to the basket. Finished tough shots on both sides of the rim. Showed she can finish in crafty ways, using her body to get past the defense. Also has a good reverse that was effective around the rim. Good court vision. Made great passes down the floor. Played good defense and rebounded well.
Layla Flynn Layla Flynn 5'7" | PG Dunbar | 2027 State KY
5’7 | Guard | Dunbar HS | Lexington Crossover
#256 – Less than 2 hours after playing 4 great games at this showcase, Flynn was scoring a goal in a soccer game for her HS team. To make that even more impressive, she also was named to the All-Tournament team. On the court, she was doing it all. Consistently ran the floor and made good passes. Handled pressure well and showed a good variety of ball handling moves. Made nice drives and created open looks at the rim. Finished in traffic. Good outside shooter and consistently followed her shot well. Defensively, kept a nice, low stance and slid feet to stay in front. Didn’t give up any easy baskets and even got some blocks.
