Carlie Lapinski Carlie Lapinski 6'1" | PF Manasquan | 2024 State NJ – Manasquan (2024) commits to Jefferson
The rising senior at Manasquan made her college commitment official on Aug. 7, announcing on social media her intent to play at Jefferson.
Lapinski has been a solid role player for ‘Squan for the past two seasons, but she’s caught the eye of college scouts on the AAU trail, playing for United NJ this summer. Her size is what has gotten her attention, a 6-foot forward with plenty of agility and mobility on the floor. She’s put in some work during the offseason to improve, and it’s paid off.
Madison Miller Madison Miller 6'3" | C Morris Catholic | 2024 State NJ – Morris Catholic (2024) commits to South Carolina Upstate
We saw offer after offer for the rising senior at Morris Catholic and finally on Aug. 6, Miller made her announcement for the next level, committing to South Carolina Upstate.
It’s a great opportunity for the 6-3 power forward to get some immediate playing time and impact minutes at the next level next season, but she still has a year of high school ball left. She’s expected as the main frontcourt option for the Crusaders, a program loaded with talent, and a non-public NJSIAA state title is well within reach.
Zya Washington Zya Washington 5'7" | CG Montclair Immaculate | 2024 State NJ – Montclair Immaculate (2024) commits to Hamilton College
Washington started getting some traction and began picking up offers recently, but on Aug. 4, she made her college decision, committing to Hamilton College.
The rising senior guard has plenty of intangibles already, and she’s going to be in a great location to grow as a player at Montclair Immaculate this season following two years at Lodi Immaculate. A bigger program and more competitive basketball is coming her way, and she’ll only benefit from the experience come the winter.
Morgan Matthews Morgan Matthews 6'0" | SG Pennington | 2024 State NJ – Pennington School (2024) commits to George Washington
Matthews, a top-10 prospect in our 2024 rankings, has seemingly gone under-the-radar on the recruiting trail, but we found out her next destination on Aug. 9, committing to George Washington.
Simply put, Matthews is the entire package as a guard, and one of the most prolific scorers in the 2024 class, coming off a 20+ PPG scoring average as a junior. Playing at Pennington has given her the ability to play a lot of out-of-state competition, and in AAU, she’s been balling out for Jersey Gemz this summer without question.
