PGH Victory Region Recap- 17U standouts Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tonight I will take a look at some of the 17U standouts who I saw this year on the PGH Circuit in the Victory Region. The next 3 stories will all look at some of the players in that age group.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Haylie Wang, [program_tooltip program_id='716027' first='Team' last='G']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This kid is automatic from behind the arc with great range and can open up a zone in a bat of an eye. She does a great job with her catch-and-shoot abilities, and once she gets her feet set, you can forget about defending her. She knows where to be on the court to be the most effective with the best scoring opportunities. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kylie Wang, [program_tooltip program_id='716027' first='Team' last='G']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":642643,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/04/Kylie-Wang.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-642643" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kylie was one of the best all-around players I got to see this year, and she can do so much to help her team be successful. She runs the floor as well as anyone and in transition, she can finish at the rim or stop and score from the perimeter. She is good with both hands around the rim and her body control makes her tough to stop. She is a hard-nosed worker and puts her body on the line to get possession of the ball. Reads the floor well and will do what it takes to get her teammates involved. She is a very smart player, good in the paint with good hands and footwork to score at the rim. She can defend and create mistakes, can seal her opponent off the boards and use her length to her advantage. She can anticipate the play well and is a solid defender. Able to push transition and get down the floor on the move. Will find the right person for the right shot. Her perimeter game is consistent, able to knock them down from behind the arc.
