Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Abbi Gibbs Abbi Gibbs 5’8″ | CG Brownell Talbot | 2026 NE displayed that she was a complete player last year as a a freshman at Brownell Talbot high school, putting up big numbers in both points and rebounding throughout the season. Gibbs is a 5’8, versatile player out on the floor. She does what needs to be done and doesn’t look to take credit from her teammates. She just wants to see the success of her team and happens to put up some major numbers while doing it. From what I’ve seen, Gibbs main sport and passion is on the soccer pitch but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a handful on the hardwood. I’m expecting another high production year out of Gibbs this winter but we will just have to wait and see.
An individual that was really up in the air for me when doing this class of rankings is Justine Tcheuhchoua Justine Tcheuhchoua 5’11” | SF Omaha Central | 2026 State NE of Omaha Central high school. Justine is an athletic and raw talent when it comes to the game of basketball. To be honest, I didn’t have a chance to see Tcheuhchoua play enough to be able to justify her within the Top 15 Rankings and that’s the only reason. When I did see her compete, she was extremely impressive. Another player that was invited to the CP3 National Camp because of performances last high school season and this past AAU campaign. Looking toward this winter, I’m expecting a breakout year from this one. A player that has a mixture of size, athleticism, and skill, is still learning the game and putting some of the pieces together. Once she figures it out a little bit more this next season with some more experience, she is going to be someone teams need to account for each game they matchup.
Someone that came onto the scene last season, that I expect to have another successful run this year for her sophomore season is Macy Wolf Macy Wolf 5’9″ | SG Arlington | 2026 State NE . Wolf is a shooting guard with some length to go along with her skill. She stands at around 5’9 while being very fundamental at the catch and shoot game around the perimeter. There is never a time that Wolf isn’t ready to catch and let it go throughout the duration of a contest. Defensively, Wolf does a good job of sticking on her opponent and causing some trouble for others that are trying to drive by for a finish at the rim. She jumps to the ball on its rotation and is very good at communicating when she is on help-side. The Arlington high school team that Wolf competes with is set to have another great season this winter. They return a good amount of players from last season and that is sure to help them in the experience department as they get closer to playoff time.
Ella Schluterbusch Ella Schluterbusch 5’2″ | PG Bridgeport | 2026 NE is a quick moving and fast decision making point guard that can score the ball in waves and in a hurry. Schluterbusch only stands at around 5’2 but that didn’t stop her last season from putting up productive numbers at Bridgeport high school. When Ella lacks in size, she makes up for in skill and knowledge of the game. Not to mention that she displays active hands and quick feet, helping her dominate her matchups against her opponents on the defensive side of the floor. Schluterbusch is a high energy, high motor competitor and I think that’s the best way to define her game. She can definitely score but what is more impressive is the positive energy she gives off to those around her, no matter if shots are falling or not. Something that college scout will take notice in and love to see when recruiting a potential player.
Saliesha Gray Saliesha Gray 5’10” | CG Lincoln | 2026 NE is going to have the chance to step up this high school season and I think she is going to blow some people away by how well she does on the varsity floor. Gray is a 5’10 combo guard from the powerhouse that is Lincoln high school. She is someone that displays glimpses of great length and ability with the ball in her hands. All while being a “stopper” on the defensive side of things. She is a player right now that can stick with a smaller guard on a switch or she can stick with a bigger post player and give them a hard time near the hoop. Over the next few seasons, Grays progression on the court will need to continue but from when I first saw her compete until now, she has definitely risen her stock as it pertains to the game of basketball.
