Earlier this week we posted the inaugural watch list for the Class of 2027. This list begins with 60 total prospects, and 10 of them are 2-guard prospects. There will be a number of changes to this list over the coming months and years, as we learn about new prospects, and as current listed prospects improve their "recruitability". While we don't have anyone truly ranked at this time, I did want to specifically mention five young ladies who stand out to me at this point in time.

[player_tooltip player_id='692561' first='Ashlee' last='Baker'], 2027, 5-9 SG, Franklin Central H.S.
- Ashlee is one of just a couple of prospects in this class who already holds a Division-I offer. She has a strong frame, she's very skilled with the ball, and she has a really nice shot and is dangerous outside when she's able to get rhythm. She could see immediate playing time for the Lady Flashes, but she could stand to work on her defensive quickness for the Varsity level.

[player_tooltip player_id='751066' first='Havana' last='Thompson'], 2027, 5-9 SG, Decatur Central H.S.
- Havana is another nice-sized guard with strength, ability, and skill. She has sort of a "blacktop" comfort and flow to her game that you don't often see anymore. She has good vision and plays with creativity, she can make plays off the bounce, but she is also a shot-maker from the perimeter. She should have an opportunity to step in and play right away for the Hawks.

[player_tooltip player_id='716615' first='Elliot' last='Leffler'], 2027, 5-9 SG, Roncalli H.S.
- Elliot is a nice, steady, productive ballplayer who has sort of an "old school" game. She has good size, wiry strength, and she's a solid all-around athlete. She can do most things well skillfully, including handling the ball, initiating the offense, knocking down open shots, or getting to the basket for scores. I also like her versatility and effort at the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='751044' first='Brooklyn' last='Roberts'], 2027, 5-7 SG, Lawrence North H.S.
- Brooklyn is a very intriguing off-guard who I think will only get better with time and work. She has an athletically strong frame, she moves almost effortlessly in most directions, and she plays with a very aggressive motor. As she continues to learn the nuances of the game and develop her skillset, she has the talent to turn into a really nice college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='743641' first='Kaylin' last='Kathmann'], 2027, 5-7 SG, Batesville H.S.
- Kaylin had an impressive showing at the PGH Indiana Freshman Showcase a couple of weekends ago. She has broad shoulders, nice length, and a wiry-strong frame. She is fast, fluid, and bouncy, and she plays with a really nice motor. She's another youngster who, once she understands how to control her athleticism and change speeds, could be highly effective each time out.

(Indianapolis)
[player_tooltip player_id='756241' first='Avery' last='Johnson'], Columbus North H.S.
[player_tooltip player_id='756245' first='Mallorie' last='Rose'], Kankakee Valley H.S.
[player_tooltip player_id='756251' first='Brooke' last='Silva'], Evansville North H.S.
