Continue Reading-The first PGH Freshman Showcase of the Carolinas was certainly one to remember. I could not be more proud of the way the players came out and competed at such a high level and got after it each and every possession.
-Major kudos to the all the parents and family that were in the building Saturday as seats were not easy to find. It’s difficult to balance work and family demands in today’s society. The talent level that we are seeing is a direct reflection of the commitment shown from both the athletes and their families.
-This 2027 class is going to be special. An overwhelming majority of the players in attendance Saturday are ready to contribute on the varsity level immediately.
-Very cool to see each of the 3 teams start to quickly for a rhythm as the day went on. They all began to recognize and play off each other’s strengths which made for some very competitive basketball games.
-As the season kicks off within the next 90 days, it will be interesting to see how the coaches plan to infiltrate all of the young talent that will be coming into some very competitive programs who are vying for state titles. The Charlotte area is sitting on a gold mine of coaching talent and there is no doubt that they will find a way to make all the pieces of the puzzle fit.
