Kylie Simpson Kylie Simpson 5'9" | SG Bottineau | 2024 State ND – Bottineau – 5’9 – Kylie is nothing short of a great guard and she has proved that over and over again. Her ability to play under control, move her feet and fly up and down the court really stand out. Offensively she knows how to get the basket but also packs a nice mid-long-range jumper as well. On top of that her ability to knock down shots in transition really makes her a lethal player you don’t want to sleep on. Every time I’ve watched Kylie she progressively gets better and better; she is a fantastic guard that knows how to do her job and does it well. Her future is bright, she is a player you will hear more about next season, she’s fun to watch and is packed with talent. A quality player coaches need to keep an eye on…
Ella Jacobson Ella Jacobson 5'6" | CG Rugby | 2024 State ND – Rugby – 5’6 – Ella is a hard-working guard apart of a talented Rugby squad. Her contribution to the team has went up significantly over the years as she continues to improve her game. An athletic, quick guard that makes the right decisions when it matters the most. A pesky defender at 5’6 Ella has nice lateral quickness and a high desire to win. A talented combo guard that will surely have a solid senior campaign.
Ava Brown Ava Brown 5'6" | SF Des Lacs-Burlington | 2025 State ND – Des Lacs Burlington – 5’6 – Brown is a talented aggressive guard that knows how to drive the lane. She’s got a quick rip and is extremely hard to keep up with after her first step. She’s got a beautiful floater to her game that she uses in getting the ball over bigger defenders and has a nice step back jumper that’s a consistent bucket from 15 out. In the open court she’s got great court awareness and often finds the open man or a mismatch playing fast break ball. Brown is a deep range threat that can really get it going offensively if not put into check and will surely have a solid outing this year.
Carter Charboneau – New Town – 5’9 – Carter is a talented player that excels in help side defense. She’s got quick hands and feet and is able to cut off passes in a hurry. She’s got a great basketball sense of direction defensively and is a threat in the open court on fast break opportunities. She understands how to space and pace the floor and has a beautiful looking jump shot that just seems to go in. Her nuances for the game are solid as she plays with a relatively high basketball IQ. Carter is a talented player that is my dark horse on this article to make some noise this upcoming season.
Kyra Beckman Kyra Beckman 6'0" | PF Bottineau | 2025 State ND – Bottineau – 5’11 – An athletic nightmare… Kyra can do about everything on the court. An athletic big that can punish smaller defenders, quick enough to move around taller defenders and has a nice midrange shot that you have to play straight up with. Her athletic frame causes trouble on both ends of the court as she’s fast enough to play with slower guards and strong enough to cut off line drives to the basket. Kyra is truly a talent that you need to keep an eye out for this year if you like brute, basketball force and love watching some old school basketball you’ll want to tune into some games with her this season.
