She and I started the FIRST extensive Individual Showcase back in the day called HoopAHolics and you can click on the links to see the variety of articles, that’s called using the search bar
Speaking of search, the abundance of YOUNG TALENT I knew absolutely nothing about had me smiling so here’s part 1
2030
Asia Holmes is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism well on both ends. Her defense was solid, both “on the ball” baseline to baseline and in the set but watching her attacking the basket strongly was nice, and so was her pull-up jumper
Kyndal Lyn showed me a variety of ways to score her acrobatic finishes off the dribble are ahead of her years, yet so is her court vision. She understands how to create her shot under pressure, and already has the step back and “catch and shoot” down but watching her come out of nowhere on defense to get steals was a huge plus
Peini Jiang handles the ball well under pressure and going behind her back in the open court was a treat for me because she did it fluidly and instinctively but her body control while attacking the basket was nice, as was her court vision in transition. She also did a good job creating her shot and dropping the jumper with a hand in her face
Addison Collins is “long and athletic” which is the base and one of the many profiles I love to evaluate. She did a good job defensively and hit the boards on both ends but she also had a nice first step which she uses to attack the basket to either score or dish. Her court vision in the set and in transition was also solid
Marley Smith falls into the “roof has no ceiling” phrase I use regarding potential. Her size and frame, combined with her skillset are going to make her a nightmare to defend. The “hands and footwork” got me going, she finished strongly after the contact and she rebounded on both ends yet watching her go coast to coast while being pressured JUST DID IT for me
Meloh Politte hit the boards aggressively on both ends and even scored on putbacks but she also did a good job scoring around the basket. She set the defender up to attack the rim and finish, she also created her shot and dropped the jumper from outside and I’m talking mid to long range while being defended
Kinleigh Hunter does one of the things I love to see and that’s “playing the passing lane”. she has good timing to block shots, she was another athletic guard that brought in on both ends and her pressure helped to create turnovers. She saw the floor, scored off the dribble, and dropped the jumper, step back included

Olivia Snyder understands how to get hers “in the flow” yet her score off the dribble and using nice body control to finish was a plus yet another plus was her “on the ball pressure” baseline to baseline. The pluses kept adding up as she too did a good job of “playing the passing lane”
