Josie Fitzsimmons – Eagle Valley
Fitzsimmons is a capable perimeter shooter, able to stretch out her jump shot a couple feet beyond the three point line. Not fazed by incoming contests, the guard had herself notably improved production throughout her junior season with 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Fitzsimmons stays active chasing shot attempts on the offensive glass, quickly getting up for putback attempts if necessary. The guard does a great job of reading the floor while the defense is scrambling, effectively finding open space to set up a teammate with an easy look. Although an effective player with the ball, the guard still does her part to flow within the offense for spacing and attempts from cutters.
Tatem Miller – Delta
Miller is valuable as a mid-range shooter, effective with the ball in a variety of areas. The guard has excellent vision in tight spaces, seeking out one-handed passes to teammates rolling to the rim. Miller attracts gravity from the catch, capable as a shooter off the catch either in transition or once the pace slows down. The guard has also brought hustle throughout her matchups, getting up for offensive rebounds to get buckets or fouls from the putback. Through her time last season, Miller put up 7.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
Chloe Simons – Palisade
Simons shows value as a shotmaker and hustler for loose balls. The senior will be a key contributor for Palisade, likely taking on a similar volume as a perimeter shooter. At roughly 5’10, the shooting guard has above average height, capable of taking and making shot attempts above a contest. Taking more three point attempts than the next four Palisade players combined, her refined shooting stroke and shot selection next season will have a massive impact on this group. Her role rebounding the ball has been notable, actively crashing the glass through multiple opponents without fear and seeking fouls. Simons had a quickly improved game last season, posting 10.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Blayke Hostetter Blayke Hostetter 5'8" | PF Rifle | 2024 CO – Rifle
Hostetter is a capable floor spacer off the catch, knockdown from the corners and wings. While in transition, the guard seeks contact and attempts around the rim. Showing value initiating contact on the move, Hostetter has room to grow with her shot volume down the line. Through her previous season with Rifle, Hostetter put up 8.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game.
Taia Nykert – Glenwood Springs
Nykert is an active defender, getting to her box outs early once a shot attempt comes. Her wide reach allows the guard to grab the ball on rebounds slightly earlier than opponents of similar position. Another aspect of Nykert’s game comes from her passing vision on bounce passes to cutting teammates. Proven effective utilizing the pivot foot to manipulate space for passing angles. Through the guard’s previous season at Glenwood Springs, she posted 6.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
