Olivia Westfort Olivia Westfort 6'1" | PF Loomis Chaffee | 2025 State NewE , Loomis Chaffe, HT 6’2, Position PF, Class 2025,
The 6’2 Forward is one of the better athletes you will see in class A. Her length really bothers opposing teams down low. She can run the floor like a Guard in transition, and finishes well at the rim. She also can hit the free throw line jumper. She is a tough player, who will fight for positioning down low.
Payton Sfreddo Payton Sfreddo 5'11" | CG Sacred Heart | 2024 State NewE , Sacred Heart Greenwich, Position Guard, HT 5’11, Class 2025
Payton has over a thousand career points and 500 rebounds, with her senior season still to go. Payton is a very good athlete, and very well conditioned. She has good size for a Point Guard, and is a leader on the floor. Payton has interest from a number of division 1 college coaches, but it looks like she has decided to pursue lacrosse in college at the division 1 level.
Morgan Jenkins Morgan Jenkins 6'2" | PF Hotchkiss | 2025 State NewE , Hotchkiss, Class 2025, HT 6’1, Position Power Forward
Last season Morgan had 219 rebounds, 21 assists, 31 steals, 23 blocks, and averaged over 12 points per game.
Morgan’s best attributes are her length, quickness, rebounding, and paint protection. Morgan is good at altering shots, and makes it difficult for opposing teams to shoot over her. She has good hands and grabs a bunch of rebounds. She also runs the floor, and does a good job sealing the defenders to get positioning in the low block. Morgan is really working on improving her handles, and outside shot. Improving this will really raise her stock.
Sam Battle Sam Battle 5'10" Miss Porter's School | 2025 NewE , Miss Porter’s, HT 5’10, Position Forward, Class 2025
Sam might have been one of the biggest stock risers in Class A last season. She is a high level three point shooter, and had many games with multiple three pointers last year. She had multiple games with 5 and with 6 three pointers made. She was the teams leading scorer. She took a very big jump from Freshman to Sophomore season, in large part due to her hard work in the off season. On defense she can matchup with multiple positions. I think Sam will have an even bigger season in her junior year, and has a high level of potential.
Paika Van Der Mas, Choate, HT 6’2, Position Wing/Forward, Class 2024
Paika is tough to for opposing teams to defend because of her size, and versatile skill set. Last season she averaged over 14 points per game, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 4 assists. She can defend multiple positions, and plays good help side defense. She is good defending in the full court press, or in the half court. She can be very effective on offense playing down low or on the perimeter. In my view Paika is a division 1 college prospect and coaches should take note.
