Millard is among the highest volume scoring guards in the state, especially active scoring it on all three levels. Possessing a low center of gravity, the guard is highly impactful scoring on downhill drives, capable of changing pace to find the best angle. Effective scoring with either hand through contests and contact, the senior guard is incredibly difficult to slow down. Another area of intrigue has been her shotmaking ability, either off the catch or stepping into it off the dribble. Defensively, her strength holds up well against backcourt opponents, dependable maintaining balance past contact. Her recruitment has picked up in recent months, garnering offers from MSU Denver, CSU Pueblo, and Colorado Mesa.
Recently committing to Washburn, Gomez looks to continue her beneficial two-way impact for Westminster. Proving to be an excellent rebounding guard, the junior does well at staying low and initiating contact to box out opponents. Following defensive rebounds, she is out to the break, keeping her eyes up for potential outlet passes or coast to coast finishes. Gomez will have ample opportunities as a shotmaker and facilitator, following the departure of 2023 guard Lex Trujillo.
White has shown dependability defending the perimeter, either in a press or one on one. Quick laterally, the guard is seemingly always in the right place to wall off opposing drivers. Especially efficient behind the arc, White has plenty of gravity to draw out opposing defenders. Knocking down 41% of her three point attempts last season, the guard will be another difficult two-way opponent to slow down.
Byrd is especially proactive in transition, effective and willing to get out on the break to score. Effective finishing at the rim with either hand, regardless of a contest, the senior guard is fearless down in the paint. She may be deployed as a roaming defender, effective at intercepting passing lanes to create immediate fast breaks. Byrd was notably efficient beyond the arc, on moderate volume, certainly an area worth monitoring with greater opportunity this season.
Valdez brings a myriad of offensive skills to the table, most importantly as a secondary ball handler. Capable of attacking downhill to facilitate for teammates, the guard keeps her eyes up at all times. Her excellent awareness goes on the defensive end, effective jumping into passing lanes to spark a fast break. Exciting season ahead for Denver South, featuring quite a few talented guards.

Spiller is an intriguing shooting guard, capable of letting three’s fly on high volume. Effective on spot-up attempts, the senior guard will be one to follow for Far Northeast. Likely a moderate to high volume scorer, Spiller’s upside will be on full dispaly through the upcoming season.
