It is a very smart way to promote your school and to gain some really good relationships with California coaches that have power teams in the state. We went out this weekend and saw some really good teams play and here are some girls that we believe put in some work and allowed us to see how they have improved since last season.
2024, 6’0, SF, San Clemente HS, Sienna Taus Sienna Taus 6'0" | PF San Clemente | 2024 State CA
Sienna was a hard working forward for her team as we watched them play this past weekend, she hustled for rebounds, she went after loose balls and was a pretty good defender for her team as well. She got a few putbacks under the glass, snatched some good rebounds in the paint as well and was a decent shot blocker. She could score in the paint over either shoulder, she makes her freethrows, has a nice stroke from the line and is an agile player that can get up and down the floor and catch passes for easy buckets.
2024, 5’7, CG, Brentwood School HS, Jocelyn Pascual Jocelyn Pascual 5'7" | CG Brentwood | 2024 State CA
Scoring point guard that has a nice pull up stroke from the outside, she knocked down three long balls of the catch and did with no hesitation. S he is a terror on defense and harasses her opponents on a regular basis, this kid is what you call a KILLER, she has no remorse when it comes to winning a game and she will do it by no mean necessary. She has all the tricks, she is quick, she is strong, she is determined and she can score the ball from all three levels, so coaches, those offers should be rolling in for this one, she is the TRUTH.
2024, 5’11, CG, Rosary Academy HS, Allison Clarke Allison Clarke 5'11" | SF Rosary Academy | 2024 State CA
Allison is a DIA (Do it All) player in my opinion, she has garnered her a scholarship to Loyola Marymount University in California and we are sure she will become an important asset to the team as a freshman. She can score, she can defend, she can rebound, she can pass and she is very good at being a team leader, which we believe is one of her best attributes she will contribute to her college playing years. She had a great spring and summer, that is what proved she was ready to play at the next level, but we have been a fan of hers since she was a young freshman, we congratulate you on your journey and we will be watching you on the next level as well.
2025, 5’9, SF, Bonita HS, Lexi Mercado Lexi Mercado 5'8" | SG Bonita | 2025 State CA
Lexi is really a big guard in our opinion, she is able to get up and down the floor very well and can sprint and get ahead of the break to make easy layups even with contact. She has a solid body type and we first thought she was a power forward, but as we watched she is shaping up more to be a big guard that is capable of posting up her opponents to in the paint and also stepping out to the midrange to knock down a shot or two. We are going to continue to keep and eye on her, cause it could shape up to be something very nice for recruiting assets.
