The event featured some of the top teams and talent in the Southern California area and was held from Sept. 30-Oct. 1. I was able to attend the event on Sunday, Oct. 1 and here’s a look at some additional standouts I saw.
1. Cara McKell – Valencia 2026
This was my second time watching McKell play within the last week and this time around what stood out to me was her ball-handling. She’s comfortable dribbling on the break pushing the pace as a wing ball-handler. She has some playmaking to her game as well; looks to kick the ball ahead and make the extra pass. She also stood out defensively using her length to bother opposing players. Offensively showed the ability to finish through contact at the basket.

– Corona Centennial 2024
Sims is a bit of a tweener between a center and a rangy forward. She runs the floor well and moves off the ball. Good roller off the pick and makes strong cuts to the basket. She puts herself in position to score. She can make moves off the dribble like a forward but she can also play with her back to the basket like a center. Uses her size and length well to crash the glass.
3. Kylee Trujillo – Mission Hills 2024
Trujillo stood out as a good shooting wing. Consistently able to knock down the three-point shot off the catch. She has a quick release on her jumper and is able to shoot with the defense in her space. When the defense closed out and ran her off the three-point line, she was able to put the ball on the floor and attack.
4. Ar’Rian Lowe – Muir 2025
Lowe was impressive as a bigger wing but can play the one and run the offense. Good playmaking ability; was able to get paint touches and kick the ball out to open teammates. She was very comfortable offensively creating her shot; shooting off the dribble and shooting face up jumpers. Good rebounder. Good help defender who uses her length to block and alter shots near the basket.
