The event featured some of the top teams and talent in the Southern California area and was held from Sept. 30-Oct. 1. I was able to attend the event on Sunday, Oct. 1 and here’s a look at some additional standouts I saw.
1. Ava Chang – South Pasadena 2024
Chang is a veteran leader and key player for South Pasadena. A steady point guard who runs the offense and makes the right decisions. She keeps the ball moving and plays unselfishly. Good ball-handler who can dribble against defensive pressure. Defensively, reads passes well and forcers turnovers. Can shoot from three-point range.
2. Moriah Mosley – Village Christian 2024
Mosley is a good point guard who is able to play alongside another ball-handler as well. She’s a strong ball-handler who pushes the tempo in transition. She gets out ahead of the defense and finishes well on the break. Smaller guard but still effective. Defensively, she is solid on ball; cuts off drives and forces the ball-handler to pick up the ball.
3. Haydee Arancibia-Hardwick – Bonita Vista 2024
Arancibia-Hardwick is a wing who can play small ball center depending on the matchup. She’s naturally a big forward with some guard like skills. She can handle the ball and is a good passer in transition. She can move off ball as well. She’s patient under the basket and was consistent in drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line. Uses her size well to rebound.

– South Pasadena 2024
Tse is a ball-handling wing who can score the basketball. She’s very comfortable creating her own shot and being a primary scoring option. She has a strong slashing game. Able to attack off the dribble and draw the defense leading to solid on target passes to teammates. A consistent shooter from three-point range off the catch or face up.
5. Lili Martinez – Birmingham 2025
Martinez was impressive for her activity in the paint. She gets good post position; able to finishing at the basket through the defense. Draw contact and is a good free-throw shooter. Mobile for a center. Utilizes spin moves off the dribble. She can move off ball and cut to the basket. Makes herself available in scoring position.
