Lewisville
Aaliyah Scott Aaliyah Scott 5'6" | PG Lewisville | 2024 State TX -5’5 PG (2024)
Scott is known for being heady and understanding how to control the tempo and those two qualities right there are huge for those who play the 1. She handled the pressure with ease, her court vision and unselfishness have always been one of the pluses I enjoyed seeing in her game yet she can score, both off the dribble as well as from both mid and long-range. Factor in her “on the ball” defense and voila
Paris Jones-6’0 F (2024)
Jones did a good job of hitting the boards, on both ends of the court but watching her handle the ball after the rebound was also nice. She showed she could go coast to coast to score, she also showed she could take the defender off the dribble in the set and finish strongly. Her defense, both under the basket as well as baseline to baseline was also solid
Makiya Williams Makiya Williams TX -5’7 SG (2025)
Williams does something I love to see players do and that’s playing the passing lane and I can’t emphasize how that in itself keeps me smiling. She also sets the defender up to score off the dribble, her deceptive first step plays a part in that yet I also enjoyed watching her not only create her shot under pressure but knock it down. She rebounded, on both ends, and her defense was tough
Southern University Laboratory School
Gabriell Hill (PF/C) 2024
Hill was simply relentless going after the ball and that could also be said about how she played inside the paint. I love seeing players go AFTA the ball, I have my own way of saying things but “she can go”. She scored with players literally hanging on her on putbacks, she scored off the dribble and faced the basket to score. Her defense was tough, she played the passing lane and saw the floor
Kinsley James Kinsley James 5'8" | CG Southern Lab | 2024 State LA (SG/SF) 2024
James was one of the top offensive performers on the day as she showed she could not only drop the mid to long-range jumper with a hand in her face, but she could also catch and shoot it. She did a good job defensively both in the set as well as the length of the court, she played the passing lane very well plus she saw the floor, in the set as well as in the open court. Oh yeah, she also went AFTA the ball off the rim
Asia Patin Asia Patin 5'6" | PG Southern Lab | 2026 State LA (PG) 2026
Patin is a “long and athletic guard” which is also the base and her being pesky and creating havoc on defense is what initially caught my eye yet I’m a REAL EVALUATOR and watching her not only run her team very well and get teammates involved, she showed her explosiveness off the dribble both in the set as well as i the open court, yet her acrobatic finishes were equally impressive
Kori Wesly (PG/SG) 2027
Wesley is only a freshman and let me say this, she has some scary upside based on what she did against who she did which falls into the “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against category”. She’s also a “long and athletic guard” but her crossover going full speed is going to give her some legitimate options offensively because she can score attacking the basket as well as thread the needle and hit teammates in traffic
