Participants were placed into one of 10 teams and three of its many courts were utilized at the venue located northwest of Atlanta around Cartersville and Emerson – Bartow County, specifically.
Among the teams that put together an impressive showing at this year’s event was Team 5. Without further adieu, here is a look at those among said team who caught our attention.
It is somewhat fitting that the bulk of our standouts for Team 5 would be from the 2025 class. Sandifer, a standout at 7A Newton, is one of those juniors. After spending time on the travel circuit with Team Elite 17U Gold, Sandifer hopes her skillset can be part of a formula that will yield improved results for her Rams. Defensively, she will create additional possessions for her team with the steals she collects. If she has the ball in her hands, she is also likely to fearlessly attack the rim. Sandifer can prove how efficient she is as a transition playmaker and will draw contact to find her way to the free throw line.
Kyra Page
Kyra Page
At a Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 event that had plenty of standout juniors and seniors, Page certainly stood out among the 2025s that made the trek to Cartersville. During the high school season, she wears the uniform of a 6A team in Glynn Academy before taking to the travel circuit to wear the uniform of Brunswick Warriors Nation. Page, listed at 5-foot-4, can primarily operate at either of the backcourt guard positions. She also has no problems with drawing contact and taking her opportunities at the free throw line. Page displays plenty of skill as an attacker of the basket.
Walker may not have been listed on one of the original rosters for this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250, but she still showed up to LakePoint Sports with her balling shoes on. In fact, she always does. She plays for a 3A Wesleyan team that had a banner 2022-23 – including finishing with a 27-4 record, snapping a 33-game winning streak of Lumpkin County and advancing to the semifinals of last season’s 3A playoffs. It appeared as if teams had absolutely no answer for Walker’s at-will scoring and playmaking capabilities. If she has the ball in her hand, she is likely to place the ball through the basket – including via attacking the rim and connecting on mid-range jumpers. She also understands when the correct occasions are to score and to pass.
Highlights
Nimo is one of many senior standouts looking to finish their high school careers with a flourish and she got off to a good start with it at this year’s Prep Girls Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo. Nimo is listed at 5-foot-11 and her travel career has included playing with Upward Stars and Team Elite. She is particularly difficult to contain in the transition game as she can deliver strong finishes at the rim. A 3-point shot is also part of her overall offensive arsenal. Nimo can also come through on defense with blocked shots and steals. Rebounding and an overall high basketball IQ are two of her other strong points. She will be part of a 2A Butler team that finished with a 20-10 record last season.
