I have no agenda whatsoever other than giving a legitimate evaluation on players and quite a few in attendance are next-level locks but right now, my next two teams
TEAM 5:
Kirsten Jewell Kirsten Jewell 5'3" | PG China Spring | 2025 TX -5’3 PG (China Spring) Texas U Waco [2025]
Jewel handled the ball like a gem and I immediately was captivated by how she handled the pressure. Her court vision was nice, she hit teammates in the set, off the dribble, and in transition but she also threaded the needle between the defenders. She showed she could take the defender off the dribble and she did a good job creating her shot and knocking it down
Alexius Smith Alexius Smith 5'6" | PG Shoemaker | 2026 TX -5’6 G (Killeen Shoemaker) House 4 Hoops [2026]
Smith is a “long and athletic” guard, which is also the base, who uses her athleticism on both ends of the court. She applied baseline to baseline pressure, and she also did a good job defending in the set but her variety of moves enabled her to get by the defender off the dribble to score, after contact, body control was also nice. She showed the pull-up jumper from midrange and dropped the long-range also
Allie Hakimzadeh Allie Hakimzadeh 5'8" Jordan | 2025 TX -5’8 G (Fulshear Jordan) Just Play UA Rise [2025]
Hakimzadeh gave me a good look in each game and watching her poise under pressure immediately stood out as she handled the ball while being tightly defended and used a deceptive first step to get to the basket and score off the dribble. Her court vision was nice, both in the set and in the open court, she dropped the jumper from outside and she also played the passing lane
Evie Bruce Evie Bruce 6'1" | PF Liberty Hill | 2025 State TX -6’1 PF (Liberty Hill) Centex Attack [2025] see evaluation here
Elizabeth Kellam Elizabeth Kellam 5'8" | SG Lake Highlands | 2024 TX -5’8 G (Lake Lands) Urban Heroes [2024] see evaluation here
Alisha Peavy Alisha Peavy 6'2" | C Pieper | 2025 State TX -6’2 F (Pieper) Texas U [2025] see evaluation here
Sophia Semmler Sophia Semmler 5'10" | PF Fulshear | 2025 State TX -5’10 PF (Fulshear) Airtime Elite [2025] see evaluation here
TEAM 6:
Victoria Hlavaty Victoria Hlavaty 5'1" Hillcrest | 2026 TX -5’1 PG (Hillcrest) Dallas Roadrunners [2026]
Hlavaty showed something consistently that I love to see and that’s dropping the midrange jumper, which has become somewhat of a lost art. She created her shot under pressure to take the pull-up or attack the basket and score, nice body control on her finishes. She also saw the floor in the set as well as off the dribble, yet her on-the-ball defense was also a huge plus
Emily Bouaphanh Emily Bouaphanh 5'4" | PG Boswell | 2025 State TX -5’5 PG (Boswell) DFW Hawks [2025] see evaluation here
Aaliyah Williams-5’7 CG (St Agnes) 2025 see evaluation here
Kallie Connelly Kallie Connelly 5'7" | PG Joshua | 2025 TX -5’7 G (Joshua) Texas Heat [2025]
Connely was one of many players who not only understood positioning under the basket but outrebounded taller players. She handled the ball after rebounding, saw the floor in transition yet she also saw it while attacking the basket and either dished or scored off the dribble. Her pull-up jumper was effective and she dropped it while being defended and on the flip, her “on the ball” pressure was nice
Whitney Bruce Whitney Bruce 5'10" | SF Ursuline Academy of Dallas | 2026 TX -5’10 F (Ursuline Academy Of Dallas) Triumph [2026]
Bruce is “long and athletic” which will always be the base and I was impressed with how she played within herself as well as got hers “in the flow”. She lets the game come to her, nothing fancy yet she finds ways to help her team, like rebounding and defending inside, also shows good timing to alter shots. Her midrange jumper was a big plus as she elevates to drop it but she also elevates when attacking off the dribble
Taylor Granger Taylor Granger 5'10" | PF Mabank | 2025 TX -5’10 F (Mabank) CDG Movement [2025]
Grangers gets the #THROWBACK hashtag for her “hands and footwork” to score around the basket, yes it still works and it always will but she also did a good job attacking the basket from the wing and score. Her body control was nice, she finished after the contact but her interior defense was also nice, as was her rebounding on both ends of the court
Anna Nolan Anna Nolan 5'6" | CG Ursuline Academy Of Dallas | 2026 TX -5’6 G (Ursuline Academy Of Dallas) 2026
Nolan also gets the #THROWBACK hashtag for her “hands and footwork” and yes, she too was able to score around the basket using that combo. She scored around the paint, putbacks included and yes, she rebounded on both ends of the floor. She also did a good job defending inside the paint but she showed she could step outside of it and guard her man. To top all of that off, her timing was good and she played the passing lane
