Manual graduated JaKayla Thompson after a long and decorated career for the Crimson but Ashlinn James Ashlinn James 5’9″ | PG DuPont Manual | 2026 State KY is more than capable of filling her shoes this season and beyond. Ashlinn is a shifty lead guard who was my favorite player at our PGH Top 250 Camp last month. James could be one of the top players in all of Louisville for the next three seasons.
Destiny Thomas is now playing for Murray State but the Lady Mustangs should not have a lot of drop off with the ball being in Claire’s hands most of the time. Already averaging 17 points per game last season, look for Johnson to top the 20 per game mark in her Senior season. She’s the front runner for Regional Player of the Year and a dark horse for Miss Basketball.

Bowling Green was hit hard by graduation after losing both Meadow Tisdale (NKU) and Saniyah Shelton (EKU) to D1 schools this spring. But the cupboard is not bare for the Lady Purples. Campbell is the most logical player to step up for Bowling Green and help fill the scoring void. If she can get some help from the younger classes at BG, they could make a push to get back to Rupp Arena again in March.

I’ve been advocating for Deere for the last year since she stood out to me at our PGH Top 150 last fall. With Whitney Lind moved on to college, Bella has to be ready for a bigger role if the Lady Jags want any chance to repeat as regional champs. Deere can provide a solid inside presence on offense in addition to being a good rebounder. She doesn’t have to replicate Lind’s overall impact on the game but Bella needs to make big strides now that she has much more opportunity.
