Daniella Matus Daniella Matus 5'10" | CG St. John Vianney | 2025 State NJ – St. John Vianney (2025)
Matus is an early favorite for Shore Conference Player of the Year as the junior transfer from Morris Catholic has been one of the best shooters in the state for the past two years. The guard hit 74 threes in 29 games played as a sophomore, nearly 2.6 a game, and has hit 153 over her high school career, roughly 2.7 threes a game. She’s as good as they come when it comes to perimeter shooters, and she’s a must-watch player with the Lancers.
Julia Karpell Julia Karpell SG St. John Vianney | 2024 State NJ – St. John Vianney (2024)
Alongside Matus at St. John Vianney will be senior Julia Karpell Julia Karpell SG St. John Vianney | 2024 State NJ , a mainstay on this team through a bunch of roster turnover over the past three years. If there’s been a constant, it’s been her, and she brings back quite the resume as a senior. In 32 games played, she hit a career-high 56 threes, nearly 1.8 a game, finding her stroke from the perimeter in a big way. If that’s any indication of what this year will bring, a fight for all-conference honors is on her way.
Madison Kocis Madison Kocis 5'11" | PG St. John Vianney | 2026 State NJ – St. John Vianney (2026)
If you haven’t noticed by the first three players in this article coming from the same program, St. John Vianney is kind of a cheat code of a basketball program. Just when you think they’re going to lose talent, they get a freshman like Madison Kocis Madison Kocis 5'11" | PG St. John Vianney | 2026 State NJ , who can home in and hit 43 threes in her first high school season. She plays with great confidence already, and her sophomore year is going to be a big one no doubt.
Nina Emnace Nina Emnace 5'6" | PG Trinity Hall | 2024 State NJ – Trinity Hall (2024)
Emnace is one of the best prospects in New Jersey, one of the best prospects in the Shore Conference, and there might not be a runaway POY race with her in the mix. She’s going to make her claim for the top spot just as she did last season, an incredible junior year where she knocked down 2.3 threes in 28 games. Just truly an exciting talent, we expect her to average 20+ points a game this season, just putting up monster numbers overall.
Siobhan Stapleton Siobhan Stapleton 6'0" | C Trinity Hall | 2024 State NJ – Trinity Hall (2024)
Our first forward on this list, Stapleton has been known more for her defense than her offense in recent years, but that offense has been anchored by her three-point shooting. In 28 games, she hit 35 threes, about 66 percent of her total offense, and she doesn’t seem to be stopping in that department with the success that she has had so consistently.
Makenzie Denzler – Henry Hudson (2024)
Denzler is an incredibly underrated prospect, a senior at Henry Hudson that didn’t have the flashiest of seasons as a junior, but made the right improvements to her game that will make her a threat as a senior. That starts and ends with her perimeter shooting, hitting 26 threes in 19 games, nearly 1.4 threes a game, while averaging 7.5 points a game overall. We think she can definitely reach the double-digit threshold as a senior.
Yana Shupak Yana Shupak 5'5" | CG Toms River East | 2024 State NJ – Toms River East (2024)
This article has been filled with senior talent, so naturally, why not end it with a senior, Toms River East guard Yana Shupak Yana Shupak 5'5" | CG Toms River East | 2024 State NJ , who hit 1.5 threes in 23 games last season. Career-highs were set across the board for her, and she remained a consistent force from beyond the arc, a place she’s seemingly naturally been comfortable at. It speaks to her efficiency and effectiveness over the past two seasons, hitting just over 1.5 threes a game in 46 games played.
