Here, I take a look at a few that will have successful seasons as they look to contend for state titles.
Shay Ijiwoye Shay Ijiwoye 5'6" | PG Desert Vista | 2024 State AZ Desert Vista
The Stanford signee is the top player in the state this season. She looks to lead her Thunder Squad to a repeat of last season, in which they won the inaugural Open Division championship.
Sarah Nakamura Miller Sarah Nakamura Miller 5'11" | SG Xavier College Prep | 2024 State AZ Xavier
Back healthy, Miller looks to remind people of just how good she is. Could this be the year for the Penn signee and her Gator teammates to get over the hump?
Isabella Ivy Isabella Ivy 5'6" | PG Perry | 2025 State AZ Perry
Ivy is the engine that makes the Pumas go. She will miss some of her weapons to start the season due to injuries and transfer sitting but don’t count Ivy and her Perry teammates out.
Heather Stedman Heather Stedman 5'10" | CG Pinnacle | 2025 State AZ Pinnacle
Stedman game has steadily grown, and she is primed to help lead the Pioneers to a successful season. Everyone knows she can score, but it’s how efficiently she’s been doing it as of recently.
Jocelyn Michelle Chavez Jocelyn Michelle Chavez 5'9" | SG Valley Vista | 2024 State AZ Valley Vista
If the Monsoon are to make a run at another championship, Chavez will lead the way. The Rider signee is among the best passers in the state and can score with the best of them. She has the championship experience to lead Valley on a long run this season.
Ahdiayh Chee Ahdiayh Chee 5'6" | SG Dobson | 2024 State AZ Dobson (Featured Image)
Chee has the leadership qualities to help take the Mustangs a long way this season. She will be relied on to score as usual, but she will also need to help lift up some of the younger players in order for Dobson to be successful.
