I don’t know that there was a more important signing than Flores to Knox Catholic. She averaged 16 points last year as a freshman, and now gets to go team up with the talent at KC to try to repeat. But Mains and Flores will benefit if they can learn how to play off one another.
Highlights
I love this kids game, and she’s really just getting started! She averaged 16 pts last year, but only on 43%. She was 7/15 from 3, and I know she has nice touch. She’s going to have to put the ball in the hole a bit more consistently as she adds strength.
Really liked West’s stat line. 13 points per game on 60% shooting! And she didn’t attempt one 3 all season. She teams knew what was coming….they just couldn’t stop it. She did manage to hit an impressive 94 FTs on 63%.
Burn’s boxscore was a fun one to look at. You can see how she was a fantastic complement to Newman. She averaged 13 points on 44% shooting, and importantly, hit 48 3s on 40% shooting. That’s what you need to give Newman room to operate. 70% FT shooter. Burns is the real deal.
Another old-school post line of 12.3pts per game on 53%. Strong interior scorer that knows how to create angles to finish. 68% on 65 made FTs means she has soft touch. I really like her potential.
