Emery is a dynamic forward from Watertown who is a true force on the court with a combination of athleticism and skill that sets her apart from other athletes. She is an active defender and changes the game with her shot-blocking ability, talent in disrupting passing lanes, and great instincts. She turns offensive miscues from her opponent into easy transition opportunites on the other end and capitalizes on turning turnovers into points. Her ability to attack the rim with explosiveness and finish at the rim makes her a matchup nightmare with her mix of size and speed. She is an effective rebounder on both ends and contributes on all levels of the game. As she continues to develop consistency in knocking down outside shots she is one of the most intriguing prospects in her class.
Emma is a small-town kid playing in her junior season at Centerville. She has one of the best verticals in the game and has physical attributes that jump off the chart. On offense she is an excellent decision-maker and makes the right play consistently whether it be for her own shot or creating for someone else. She is lethal from the mid-range and knocks down jumper after jumper with precision. Her ability to get to the rim and finish with either hand makes her effective off the drive as well as post-ups. On defense she has great lateral quickness and her stellar vertical allows her to block multiple shots per contest. As Emma’s skillset continues to improve on all levels and pairs with unbelievable natural athleticism, she is a star in the making!
Ava is a competitive guard from Aberdeen Roncalli who stands out for her energy, outside shooting, and activity level on defense. She is an absolute steal machine as she has great insticts to pick off passes and does a great job pressuring the ball. Her high basketball IQ is evident in her decison-making on both ends and she is an efficient scorer. Her range is impressive and she is capable of knocking down multiple threes per game. Her perimter scoring opens up her entire team’s offense as she stretches the defense. Her athleticism and basketball smarts make her a valuable combo guard as she can make plays for others as well as create her own shot.
Highlights
Thomiah is a talented forward going into her junior year at Rapid City Stevens. At 5’11” and athletic, she is a force on the floor and is a lot of fun to watch. She stands out for her ability that looks transferable to the next level as she has a complete inside-out game. In the post she plays physically and can use her body effectively to create space and score off of paint touches. She has a very nice jump shot and can score from the perimeter as well. Defensively she plays with tenacity, getting after her opponent nad physically positioning herself to go and get boards for her squad. Thomiah continues to steadily improve and I expect a big year for her and the Raiders.
Jasmine is a small school kid with big skills from Timber Lake, SD. She is a very capable player on both ends and is a true double-double machine. An intense rebounder, she times the ball well and gets after it on the boards on both ends of the floor. She is an extremely active post defender who can block shots and often has 3 or more steals per game with her high level of intesity and activity on that end. On the offensive side of the ball she can dominate the post with physicality and impressive footwork in the paint. Don’t sleep on this small school kid who heads into her junior year looking to continue to take her game to the next level!
