Harper was very impressive Friday as she showed off her ability to stretch the floor and shoot a very high percentage from the perimeter. You can put Harper at the 2 or 3 and she can shoot it from all over. She has a very good shot selection and she will take shots that are all in rhythm and within the flow of the offense. I love the way she can spot up out of the double from the post which forces teams to have to make a decision. She is not the player you want to continue to leave alone and it allows her teammates to thrive. She is an excellent finisher in transition who can run the floor hard and finish at the rim. Terrific all-around performance from a player who can certainly thrive in the Charlotte Catholic system.
Kaylee single handedly changes the dynamic of this Lady Patriot team. Everyone just appears to benefit from her being on the floor. She opens things up for everybody and she knows where to go with the ball. Her skill level and basketball IQ is so high, that I wouldn’t be surprised to see her playing professional basketball in some capacity in the future. She shot the ball extremely well from a variety of spots and her pull-up jumper is second to none. She is an elite multi-level scorer and she is difficult to stop when she gets into a zone. East Tennessee State is getting a steal with Carson who has the capability to contribute from day 1.

Laney lit the nets on fire with her shooting from downtown which continued to keep Watauga within striking distance. She was by far one of the best shooters that took part in the Charlotte Hoops Challenge. She had moments in the contest where it appeared as though she could not miss and hit several contested three’s in a row at one point. She went to work on the corner baseline which opened the floor up for her teammates to get inside. Excellent movement away from the ball and she can certainly drive it if you attempt to crowd her.
You have the love the way in which Charlotte plays the game. She is such an all around terrific guard. She has plenty of handle to penetrate but her ability to shoot it is very strong. She does a great job hustling to get up and down the floor to get her shoots off and she can shoot it off the catch or in rhythm. She has very good defensive technique and she knows where she is supposed to go and what she is supposed to do on the floor. Absolutely one of the best shooters at the event.
Brooke was surely feeling it Saturday night from downtown. She is near automatic when she shoots off the catch from the corner baseline. She is another player that opens up the floor with her accuracy from distance. She gets her feet planted and gets excellent rotation on the basketball. She is a nightmare to defend as she is also a true PG that knows how to facilitate when needed. She can not be left alone and defenders must know where she is at at all times. She has a game that is well beyond her years and is very mature in how she plays the game.
Highlights
The senior forward helped stretch the floor for the Lady Patriots Friday night as she shot 50% from the 3 point line. She does a good job of getting to her spot to knock down shots from that right and left elbow. Finishing with 13 points, she also did a great job of getting down in the paint more and battling to get shots against smaller opponents. Very good performance from Moss Friday night as she continues to be a very effective player in the system.
