SubscribeThe Great Lakes Christian College hosted the inaugural Headliners Invitational on Sunday, November 12th in Michigan. The event showcased top uncommitted prospects competing in thee sessions, with the second session primarily for 2024/2025 prospects. The session was led by Coach Megan Hudson of Lansing Community College, Assistant Coach Trafford Hannon of Lansing Community College, and Assistant Coach Jessica Duleba of Oakland Community College. College coaches provided offensive, defensive, and full-court skills sessions before athletes played full-court games. The PGH scouts offered exclusive written coverage of the event, while the SnipBack App recorded the games. Participants were provided with reversibles by Moneyball Sportswear.
6 colleges evaluated prospects on-site during sessions one and two with 80+ prospects participating across three sessions. The event was successful due to the exceptional format, prospects, coaches, sponsors, scouts, and organizers who were well-prepared.

had a great showing at the Headliners Invitational! One thing that stood out about Maurer was that the floor general could have scored even more than she did, but she was getting her teammates involved. Don’t get me wrong, she scored at all three levels! She had a nice step-back three and a tough left-handed floater. She was another ’26 playing with the ’24 & ’25’s and never skipped a beat. I see a big sophomore season coming for the Ithaca star this winter!

Mayae Carradine
Mayae Carradine
#65 Mayae Carradine was a player I was excited to see play at the Headliners Invitational! She has intense on-ball defense and had a ton of swipes on Sunday. I loved how she controlled the pace while running point. She has a killer crossover and was able to get past her defenders to get to the rim on many occasions. I’m expecting big things for Mayae this winter during her junior campaign!

She displays a quick first step to blow by defenders, creating opportunities for herself and her teammates, and impressing with a tough step-back three. Big senior season is up next, and I’m expecting big things for Marionna!

had a great showing at the Headliners Invitational! I saw her at the PGH Top 250 and noticed an improvement in her shooting. She hit a couple of threes and several mid-range jumpers. She worked hard on the glass and pulled down multiple offensive boards for put-backs. I’m looking forward to seeing what her senior season brings.

#82 Chloe Thompson Chloe Thompson SG Hill McCloy Highschool | 2024 State MI is a player I have not seen live yet, so I was excited to see her on the list of attendees for the Headliners Invitational! Chloe is a skilled player who knows how to play defense effectively. She positioned herself perfectly during the game to pull down multiple rebounds. Her highlight of the day was when she made a deep 3-pointer at the buzzer. I’m excited to see what Chloe’s senior season brings this winter!

#66 Emily Putnam Emily Putnam SG Central Montcalm | 2024 State MI had a great day at the Headliners Invitational! She is a coach’s kid, and it shows with her high basketball IQ. She can play both inside and outside, demonstrating her versatility. She knocked down a three-pointer on one possession, and on the next possession she posted up, executed a strong move, and finished with authority. She displayed remarkable accuracy, scoring multiple three-pointers throughout the day. I see a big senior season coming for Emily at Central Montcalm this winter!

Alexis Schlatter
Alexis Schlatter
#53 Alexis Schlatter really impressed me at the Headliners Invitational! This was my first time seeing her live and she did not disappoint. She used her length to secure many offensive rebounds for put-backs. She is a gritty player that every team needs. She has a nice looking shot and connected on a couple 3-pointers. I’m excited to see how her junior season goes at BC Western this winter.

Gracie Kerr
Gracie Kerr
#70 Gracie Kerr was locked in at the Headliners Invitational! Every time the ball touched her hand, you would hear shooter. She connected on countless shots behind the arc. I had a tally going on my notes, and there’s so many that my tallies ran together! She rebounded at a high rate from her guard position. The senior should help Michigan Center have a good season this winter!
