SubscribeI saw quite a few teams on opening day at the Lady Tiger Classic in Conroe and caught up with some players I already knew about, some of whom I hadn’t seen since last season yet they showed something I love to see, and that is make an IMPACT. Several freshmen like A’Niyah Harmon (Klein Collins) and Ma’Ryiah Alfred (Westbrook) would have been on here but I’m saving them for something coming up

Lyric Smith
Lyric Smith
Smith is “long and athletic” which is a profile I love to evaluate, so do many college coaches, they offer next level opportunities and based on what she’s added to her list of impressive intangibles, her blocking shots along with interior as well as exterior defense, on the ball stood out. She also UPS and did a good job scoring around the basket

Alissa Sneed
Alissa Sneed
Sneed caught my eye last season and watching her playing under control and showing she could take games over by scoring both off the dribble as well as dropping the jumper was already there. Her court vision, in the set as well as in transition was a plus, so was her defense

Fifi Adene
Fifi Adene
Adene is one of those #THROWBACK players I love dropping the hashtag on because I love things you can’t teach and DESIRE happens to be high on my list. Her blue-collar work ethic of going after everything off the rim, as well as loose balls on the floor are big, so is the heat she applies defensively yet she can also score off the dribble, as well as on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends

Riri Deleon
Riri Deleon
Deleon was one of the more impressed shooters I caught during the club season as watching her not only create her shot under pressure but drop it with a hand in her face was nice, I’m talking mid to long range yet she also is using the “catch and shoot” to drop numbers

Chaney Spencer
Chaney Spencer
Spencer For Hire was a television show and this Spencer is showing she’ll be playing on television as well. Her mindset is “ you can’t stop me” and with her variety of moves to attack the basket, her deceptive first step plays a huge part in that, well so does her consistency at dropping the jumper from outside which keeps he defender guessing

Mak Golden
Mak Golden
Golden is steadily doing things that will keep her on the short lists of many next level programs, starting with her standing above the magic number. Her athleticism is more fluid, so is her lateral movement both defending as well as attacking the basket. She rebounds, on both ends, and showed the “hands and footwork “ I love so let me drop#THROWBACK again

Jeani’ Arthur
Jeani’ Arthur
Arthur might be, no, she is one of the most improved players I’ve caught since club basketball. She made a few of my Tip Sheets yet here’s anTIP, she is showing she can make an impact on either end by playing the passing lane, take charges or just in the ball pressure to create turnovers yet on the flip, she’ll showing she can score to start or stop a run
Anderson was one of the top players I caught at the PGHTop 250 and watching her overpower defenders off the dribble while finishing after contact was nice, so was her body control. She also showed the midrange , hit the boards on both ends and played solid defense
