SubscribePrep Girls Hoops Michigan recently updated it’s prospect rankings for the class of 2026. It’s always exciting to see exciting to see the new names on the list. At every update talented players join the list of ranked players. Let’s look at a few of these new additions.
Schafer certainly earned her way on the list. She was more than solid over the course of grassroots season and really cemented her spot in the rankings with her play at the PGH Michigan Top 250. She’s a solid shooter that can get her shot up even with a hand in her face. Schafer is a consistent shooter with focus and a pretty release. Schafer has a multifaceted game with her ability to pass the ball down the floor as well.
Shafer is a prime example of the why it’s important to always show up to play. I stopped in an MSF Train and Play never having evaluated her game. I left the gym a couple hours later knowing that Shafer needed to be ranked. Her passing was what really stood out to me about her game. Shafer had the ability to see where the ball needed to go and get it there in an efficient manner, even on the move in transition.
Stedman certainly played her way into the prospect rankings. Let’s start by mentioning that she’s a terrific 2 way player, the kind of player that’s tough for a coach to take off the floor. Stedman can buckle down and get perimeter stops. She also has the ability to attack the defense with her jumper that has 3 point range as well attacking off the bounce and making plays.
Moore blazed a path onto the list of prospects in a way that a lot of other players should emulate. She did it with her defense and hustle. Gritty players that are willing to outwork the competition help get as many wins as a shooter or scorer does. Moore is an extremely active pressure defender on the perimeter. Offensively she plays efficient basketball with minimal mental errors.
There’s a lot to like about Leasher as a basketball prospect. She plays a really good physical game and she moves non stop without the ball in her hands, which creates a lot of opportunities for her. Leasher works really well off the baseline and going from left to right. Watch out for her mid range game where she features a solid jumper and nice touch on her floaters.
