Too bad Converse lives in Memphis, because she is fun to watch play! One of the shiftier guards in the state, and nearly impossible to stay in front of. Recently decided to sign with North Alabama, so the pressure is off college-wise. I look for her to just go out there and hoop her senior year and put up some big time numbers.
Highlights
Maryville commit who a competitive defender, and and check-all-the-boxes HS kid. She’s a complete player, doing all things to help her club compete.
She’s scored over 1,000 points in her career already, so she’s a proven scorer. 3s, layups, mid-range, the ball goes in when it leaves the fingertips of this kid. She’s a lock on D, hustling, creating chaos, she battles every possession.
Horner has committed to Tusculum, so the pressure is off regarding her stats…and she can just play. She’s an old-school big with a big frame, she’s a beast in the paint.
Offensively, she’s tough working around the blocks with really nice touch. Has a large back of drop-steps and baby-hooks that made her super effective within 5 ft. Has a nice touch from the mid-range area.
Defensively, she’s big on the boards, blocks shots, high level shot blocker and big time deterrent. Definitely a kid you have to game plan for. Anchors the team on offense and defense.
Gale a really nice two way guard that can do a bit of everything. 2-way disruptive force on both sides of the ball.
A high IQ that plays with high-level, she gets after it on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she can shoot it on all 3 levels. Super quick and shifty guard that is bonafide playmaker once she gets her feet into the paint.
Defensively, she’s a gritty competitive with a nice mix of tools and mindset.
Could very well have a big-time senior year. Her role will continue to grow, and she’s the type of player that has really leveled up, and will be asked to do a ton. She’s a nice instinctual scorer, but also an unselfish playmaker. Simply makes winning plays. Very talented in skill, she just goes out and competes. The tools, skill, and timing is primed for her to have a huge breakout!
