Sensational Sophomores on the court 

Sam Vanderhave Sam Vanderhave 5’3″ | PG Charlotte Country Day | 2026 NC is a skilled point guard with the ability to score, to pass, and to defend for Charlotte Country Day School. Vanderhave has a great feel for the game and makes fantastic decisions for her team in the open court. Vanderhave handles the basketball well and can weave through any defense. Additionally, she is an aggressive defender who creates several steals per game. Vanderhave can also step outside and drain the three. She has a quick release and the ability to create space for her jump shot as well. 

Ava Wulf is a point guard from Wake Christian Academy. Wulf has a nice outside shot. She can shoot from deep behind the three-point line with consistency for her team. On defense, Wulf is aggressive and creates several steals per game with her urgency and activity on the basketball. Wulf is a leader on the court who will help her team on both ends of the court tremendously this season. 

Kennedy Jackson Kennedy Jackson 5’10” | CG Wesleyan Christian Academy | 2026 NC can flat-out play. She is a long guard with a picture-perfect outside shot. She can score in transition and in the paint as well. Jackson is a match-up problem for the opposition because of her size and her skill set. Around the rim, she has spectacular touch. She takes her time on her post moves and can score through contact as well. Jackson has the ability to get to the foul line several times a night for the Wesleyan Lady Trojans. She is a special talent who continues to get better and better on the court. 

Annalise DeMatteis has a smooth outside shot that goes in for Cary Academy. DeMatteis is a strong guard that has the ability to score in transition and through contact. She can also step outside and drain several three-point field goals for her squad. When DeMatteis is on the court, she competes. She has a very high basketball IQ and forces several steals on defense each game. 

Viviana Nigro is a tough player on the court. She is able to shoot passing lanes to create easy scoring chances for Lee Park Prep School. Nigro can also shoot the basketball well. From the outside, she is consistent and able to make multiple threes in any game. She has a high release on her shot which makes it tough for the defense to contest. Nigro is a special sophomore who has the skills to impact a game on offense and on defense for the Knights.
