A versatile aggressive guard that can flat out hoop. She’s got great ball handling skills, solid court vision for finding the open man and crashes hard for the offensive boards. A talented defender as well. She’s quick, has active hands and a high desire to win! She’s been a part of a talented Langdon Area squad that’s made multiple trips to the Class B State Tournament and are prying at another shot with the restructured Class B format.
Jamie Thompson Jamie Thompson 5'8" | CG Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood | 2024 State ND – Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood – 5’8 – Jamie is a quick guard that works hard. She’s the first one up and down the court, communicates efficiently with her teammates and is extremely coachable! She’s a solid on ball defender that has great lateral quickness and can really dig into opposing guards and forwards. She’s strong, athletic and a pleasure to watch. She’s a part of a talented Mavericks squad that looks to regain glory of going back to the State Tournament after their 2022 finish.
Mckenna Mcilonie Mckenna Mcilonie 5'5" | SG Oak Grove | 2024 State ND – Oak Grove – 5’5 – Mcilonie is a sniper on the roof! A deep range dagger player that has an extraordinary shot. She’s not a player that you’ll want to play a 2-3 zone against even if it’s a matchup zone. She’s got a quick release and has proved time and time again she’s not to be left open. A solid defender at the other side of the court that reads the defense well and plays the passing lanes with great vision. Someone that can move quick and get in help side to cut off drives and has enough juice to get out to the arch and prevent an open trey ball shot. An underrated talent that is going to make some noise without a doubt this year.
Kali Norton Kali Norton 5'5" | PG Ellendale | 2024 State ND – Ellendale – 5’6 – Kali is a lightning-fast athlete that’s an all-state track star. You get just that when you watch her play on the court. I think her ball speed is about as fast as players running speed. A player that is going to run laps around you on the court and can finish with either hand around the rim. Occasionally her feet move faster than her hands, but man if she can steady a solid 3-point shot, she’ll be an all-region player this year without a doubt. She’s played varsity for the Cardinals since a Freshman and now has everything to prove as a Senior.
Abby Mathern Abby Mathern 5'6" | SG Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier | 2024 State ND – EKM – 5’6 – Abby is a surprise athlete that has a lot of upside still to her game. She’s a player that can honestly play at all 5 spots on the court. She’s not the fastest or strongest athlete out there, but a player that can flat out get the job done when needed. She’s got a nice set jump shot that looks like it should always go in. She’s quick enough to attach the rim and strong enough to finish. She’s a part of a talented Rebel squad that looks to go back-to-back in making a state appearance and quite possibly could with the depth they have returning. Abby is a dark horse player that you have to keep an eye on when playing the rebels because she could easily go for 10 in the blink of an eye.
