SubscribePrep Girls Hoops Missouri began its regular season coverage for the season by watching the Blue Fish Shootout at Rolla on the Magical Stream Machine. Here is a look at the top young players from the Classes 2026 and 2027 that we saw this weekend at Rolla.
Ava Schlotzhauer Ava Schlotzhauer 5'10" | PF Tipton | 2026 State MO (Tipton): The 5’10” 2026 forward had a strong performance with a game-high 19 points in the Lady Cardinals’ victory over Macks Creek. The young lefty was a force inside with her strength and physicality. She catches well and finishes with a good drop step and she can also drive it well when she gets the ball to her dominant left hand. She also positioned herself well for offensive rebounding.

(Bunker): A 5’11” 2026 guard who plays the multi-task role for her team with her versatile skill set. She is the team’s primary scorer and facilitator. She can score inside, either on the post up or on the drive with her long stride. She uses her length well at the top of the full court press. She also had an impressive chase down block at the end of the first half.
Clara Williams (Tipton): A 5’6″ 2026 guard who had an impressive outing with 14 points in the Lady Cardinals victory over Macks Creek. She got her team rolling early with eight quick points, which included a pair of 3-pointers. She could also drive it well as she had one nice finish that was high off the glass.
Lexi Ament (Crocker): A 5’7″ 2027 point guard who had an impressive high school varsity debut on Saturday. She was able to display her scoring and playmaking skills. The young lefty can shoot it from deep, but she had some excellent drives through traffic for layups. She dropped some nice dimes to teammates and she also handled the ball through the press effectively.

(Rolla): A 5’7″ 2027 guard who provided a nice pop off the bench. She scored a layup off a nice cut then knocked down a 3-pointer. She’s quick and she knows how to get into the gaps of the defense. She’s very active and she always seemed to be around the ball.
Avery Sperling (Osage): A 5’9″ 2027 guard is another impressive newbie that I watched during the shootout. She was able to hit the high arching 3-pointer from the wing. She has good athleticism and she used her length to get deflections and steals off the press.
Zoe Shrubb (West Plains): A 5’6″ 2026 guard who came off the bench to provide some instant offense for her team when she entered the game. She hit a couple of 3-pointers off the catch and was just very solid in the minutes that she played.
Lorelai Hunziker (Osage): A 5’9″ 2026 guard who is a long athletic wing player with a quick first step to the basket. She was slashing to the basket very well and could finish with a twisting layup or a floater in the lane. She was also passing it very well. She can also shoot it well from distance.
