I went to watch some of the girls, and despite it being early in the year, they all look impressive. Their teamwork and dribbling skills are coming together, promising a fantastic season ahead! Here are a couple of standout players who really got it done.

Beware of this freshman! Rosie showcased her exceptional ball-handling skills and her awesome offensive maneuvers all game long. She is fearless against defenders and has no problem trying to do decide what strategy she is going to choose on the fly. Whether she confidently chooses between a 5 foot floater, driving to the rim, or making precise passes she exudes control. She was fun to watch and I look forward to seeing her for the next four years.

Truth Evans
Truth ignites the court like a firecracker, she has boundless energy and explosive movement. She is such an aggressive defender and she usually finds herself marking the opposing team’s top player where she is relentless in her pursuit for the ball. She also has some nice speed so she seamlessly transitions to offense where she charges down the court to deliver precise passes or execute shots in the paint.

Andrea Rico
So delighted to witness Andrea’s recent game, her court dominance stands out. Leveraging her size and fierce attitude she quickly makes her way down the court and gets around every offender and is consistently converting baskets. Andrea excels in driving to the rim and finishing lay ups showcasing her athleticism. Her tenacity on defense is evident as she sees opportunities to steal the ball and then easily sets up scoring chances for her teammates.

I really enjoyed watching Cayla’s stellar performance as she led her team to victory. Her remarkable offense is characterized by a relentless pursuit for baskets. She is a vocal leader and she diligently calls for the ball so that she can keep shooting from wherever she is on the court. On the defensive end, Cayla fiercely guards her basket, preventing any opposing offenders from breaking through. She does not want to give up any points and her constant hustle from baseline to baseline proves that.
