Continue ReadingOne of the state’s most prolific rebounders, Marvel has helped D’Evelyn to maintain their deep playoff runs over the previous years. Always roaming around on the offensive glass, she is among the highest motor prospects in the region. She capped off her tremendous beginning to the season with a 34 point and 31 rebound performance versus Northfield back on the 9th, yes that’s the official number. Her physicality allows her guard up against bigger forwards, making her one of the most unique and versatile defensive prospects in the state.
There is not a more consistent perimeter shooter in the region than Sara Chicco Sara Chicco 5’10” | SG Rocky Mountain | 2024 State CO , contributing 45% from beyond the arc and 47% since her sophomore season with Rocky Mountain. This goes along with continued growth handling the ball, making that high efficiency figure that much more impressive. The guard has aided Rocky Mountain in a potent start to the season, going 4-1 while Chicco has notched career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and steals per game.
Excellent throughout last season and reaffirming her impact with efficient shotmaking with a winning Erie program, Hartel will be a potent perimeter scorer yet again this season. Following averages of 16.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game while contributing 41% of her three point attempts through December 11th, the guard will be a thorn in the side of many opposing defenders. Her quick decision making while handling the ball has aided her on all three levels, making her one of the most dynamic guards this 2024 class has to offer.
The Air Force Prep commit has started off the season with a bang, averaging 30 points per game throughout her first three appearances, alongside 38% from beyond the arc. There are few guards who bring her efficiency on offense and tenacity defending the perimeter. Notably active trapping ball handlers from the help side, Mannering does a great job instigating opponents and clogging the paint against drivers.
Highlights
Ives brings a variety of skills to the table, certainly valuable defending along the perimeter through her quick instincts and constant activity instigating passing lanes. Capable of getting a bucket from all three levels, the lefty guard is productive from a wide variety of situations off the bounce. Her ability to read the floor and make decisions on the move has not only allowed her to hit movement shots, but increased her gravity, in turn becoming dependable at facilitating for backdoor cutters and fellow floor spacers.
Lamb has done a great job maximizing her role with a Legend program that is up there with any of the top 6A programs. Efficient beyond the arc, she has done her part in spacing the floor with the collective. Possessing gravity along the perimeter, she has been prevalent attacking closeouts for straight line drives and finishes around the rim, regardless of contact. Her transition passing is an underrated aspect of her game, making some one-handed dimes on the move throughout the start of the season. Alert on help side rotations, Lamb has been dependable guarding up when needed if frontcourt teammates need a rest.
