Doing particularly well stripping the ball from stopped ball handlers, her wide reach allows her to cover more ground than the vast majority of prospects at her position and height. Her hand eye coordination has been helpful swatting away attempts at the rim, capable of rotating early and staying down without fouling.
An active rebounder, Leach does well seeking out scoring opportunities around the rim. Particularly active crashing the glass for second chance opportunities and kick out passes, the forward has helped maintain Cherry Creek’s notable physicality on the interior. Efficient around the rim, especially with the left hand, Leach does not have trouble scoring through incoming contests.
Capable on or off the ball, Jones is a versatile offensive weapon who has been nothing short of vital to Broomfield’s strong start to the season. Proving efficient beyond the arc and around the rim, Jones has done a great job of picking her spots on offense. Jones has opened up the year as one of the most efficient scorers in the class, proving to be dependable on one of the top programs in the front range league.
A highly active rebounder on either end of the floor, Roscoe is a difference maker securing second chance opportunities for Mountain Vista’s dynamic perimeter play. Possessing notable strength defending the post and setting hard screens, Roscoe adds another layer to this dynamic Mountain Vista program. She does a great job diving to rim following ball screens, mixing in a variety of slips or hard contact to confuse ball handlers.
Highlights
Pohl is another highly impactful defender around the rim, assertive on help side swatting away shots at the basket. Her wide reach allows her to instigate drivers or opposing post threats. Fairly sturdy, she can take bumps while maintaining her position down low, while maintaining straight up arms to mitigate the potential foul. Ther are few forwards in this class with her defensive versatility, notably comfortable versus a wide variety of matchups. Her continued progression on the offensive end will be intriguing, particularly her improved shot range.
Paritulcalry pesky at the point of attack, Wurth has done a great job complementing her teams through a consistent defensive impact. Doing well at moving laterally versus opposing wings and taller guards, she gets into a low stance with wide arms to take away driving lanes. The forward has found ways to stay impactful off-ball, either knocking down threes off the catch or attacking the lane through well timed cuts.
