Ireland Jones Ireland Jones 5'6" | PG Clever | 2024 State MO (Clever): A 5’5 point guard who scored 24 points in a victory over Ava in the consolation semifinals. She is a two-way standout who can score at three levels on offense while also playing tenacious defense. She’s fearless when she drives to the basket and she doesn’t mind the contact at all.
******
Allyssa Joyner (West Plains): A 6’2 forward who scored 12 points in the victory over Logan Rogersville in the semifinals. She is a big matchup problem with her excellent low post skills and ability to knock down 3-pointers off the catch. She passes well out of double teams and she’s an effective shot blocker. She also has a calming influence on her young teammates on the court.
******
Olivia Lawson (West Plains): A 5’8 point guard who had a strong all-around game against Logan-Rogersville in the semifinals. Her pace was excellent as she put constant pressure on the defense. She was going coast to coast for layups and also getting offensive rebounds and putbacks. She can also impact the game on the defensive end.
******
Bodie Cox (Lebanon): A 6’0 wing who faced a box-and-1 defense for much of the game against Mount Vernon. She does a nice job facilitating offense with her playmaking and deft passing. She sees over the defense with her height. She can shoot it from the perimeter and score in the post.
******
Brylie Hicks (Clever): A 5’5 point guard who did a good job of keeping the tempo fast and furious. She would either push the ball on the dribble or throw a very accurate lead pass ahead on the break. She was also shooting the 3-pointer well as she scored 20 points in the game.
******
Baillie McClanahan (Clever): A 5’10 forward who was very good with her positioning around the basket. She rebounded well and threw a good outlet pass. She also stepped outside and hit a 3-pointer.
